Watched the first half. He's a lovely player but he's prone to show boat a bit and gave the ball away needlessly a few times when over doing it. He's always available for the pass. Penalty he won was great movement from him, he's a real handful at championship level and you can see the defenders hate to be isolated with him. He needs to develop more awareness His skill and technique is undoubtedly very high.Not good enough.......yet. Needs more time on loan..

Looks like he plays for the fun of it , last time we had a player like that we replaced him with 3 players. Judging on that performance and if he gets more games this season then he's going to be a first team player for us next season ( leave him at Cardiff this season)

We don't know it but it's not hard to work it out , watch the interviews, its clear he was approached and interviewed by the owners and not Purslow. What does this tell you? It tells me they don't trust him to pick a manager, or maybe he was busy doing an important commercial deal....

Even without the USA Russia are going to struggle. The battle lines have been drawn and Europe has backed the Ukraine, if Russia wins then Europe loses. Russia is loosing 700-800 troops a day, play that out over a few months and add in the injured and they will run out of troops pretty soon and have to remobilse more civilians from a more influential group of Russians. He will lose, Russians will defeat him. The real worry is who will replace him. For the world to be safe Russia has to be a stable democracy.

Purslow presented Gerrard has his choice, they trusted his judgement and that he had undertook due diligence, he clearly hadn't. Purslow wasn't given the option with Emery, it's clear he was overlooked and had no influence over his appointment, like it or lump it.

I'm sure this happens but not all landlords are this short sighted. Completely removing section 21 and giving landlords no feasible way to get ownership of a house back will just remove more houses from the social housing section of the market, at least in places like Birmingham. There should be a set frame work with time scales given for the landlords and tenants. Tenant leaves a house, say 6-12 months after the landlord requests it. And other rules to protect them from bad landlords and landlords from bad tenants. To me it seems the government is trying to move the responsibility for their lack of building social housing onto the private housing rental market. It's easy for people to then jump on the bandwagon of 'all private landlords are bad' so let's take away their hard earned capital and their rent based income. God help any remainer who's a labour voting cyclist and a landlord, burn him , he's a plant based witch.

SAS Rogue Heroes BBC iPlayer, 3 episodes in, great characters, plenty of action and a decent sound track, 8.5/10 . Steve Knight written all over it, another massive hit is my guess.

Living in Brum it's easy to forget that most parts of the country have very little experience of immigration, not to the extent that we have. Walk around Birmingham and it would be hard to guess where in the world you are and i love it, vibrant. The stories of these immigrants should be told, where they are from, what they have lived through, why they have battled across seas to come to the UK. What they offer the UK, asylum seekers that have become Doctors, Nurses, cleaners ....The BBC should be educating the people on what a terrible world we live in and the determination and courage these people have shown to get to our country.

He's gonna be a villa legend, the type of manager we should have got Summer 2021. I can't think of a Villa manager as successful as Emery, maybe Gerard.....Houllier? Our most important signing in the last 40 years.

Purslow will go IMO, the owners trusted him to replace Smith and he chose to make a decision he wasn't qualified to make. He should have got someone else in to help him make that decision. What happens when Emery goes ( hopefully in 5+ years) do the owners get involved again or do they (and us) let Purslow have another spin on the wheel of misfortune?

He's already streets ahead of him and Howe will never get close to what he's achieved. The question of villa doing better than Newcastle is a different one altogether, Newcastle have infinite amounts of money so the chances are they will sooner or later do well Whether they can get the players/ top managers to go to the arse end of nowhere is the weakness. The airport and transport links are dreadful.

Howes done a great job at Newcastle but they had been in the premier league for sometime, we haven't . Howe and Emery are completely different category of managers, Emery has success marked with Trophies , Howe has a promotion and has taken Newcastle from a relegation battle into the top half and is top 3 in October. He's won nothing, just like Newcastle.

Well if it's analysis you want Emery is the manager, he's approach is very detailed. He will have watched us play yesterday and against Brentford. He will know our players strengths and weaknesses. The one thing that I noticed yesterday was how Newcastle exposed the space between Ming's and Young, using diagonal balls to great affect. This was obvious an area Howe had highlighted and one I hope Emery would have countered as soon as it became apparent, we just left it to happen time and time again.

Best manager we could have signed, hes got top 4 written all over him. As for his wiki page........are you for real? Newcastle threw the sink at him and couldn't get him yet he's come to us, give him 12 months as see where we are.

Emery will sort us out..it will take time but a manager with his pedigree will succeed and us with it. Fine lines separate success from failure at this level and he will make a difference. This time next year (we will be millionaires ) we will be competing for the top 8.

If he can't break into the Cardiff team after that goal then we should recall and loan him back out again.

Decent 1st half, probably had the better of the chances around the box but the ball seemed to get caught under our players feet at the wrong time, then the penalty.......Young was isolated all game (Newcastle played some excellent diagonal balls that cut us in two), but we was unlucky to go in 1 down. 2nd half ........Watkins should have been brought off, he wasn't closing down and he was all ove the shop in possession. Beundia and Bailey all seem to want a touch to many when we are in decent possession. Substitute s....... Coutinho looked completely uninterested, could be Gerrards single most destructive moves towards our progression. Why wasn't Archer brought on for Watkins......... Newcastle we matched them for much of the first half and then we just gave in. They are well drilled and play some nice football, hope they break the top 4 this season , good club and mostly great fans, 3-1.........my arse. Lol UTV .

Don't suppose they was off form, apart from that day and the one against Newcastle, although they beat manu 4-0. Similar results to Newcastle without the draws. Looking forward to the game for the first time in a few months , I wasn't even confident before the Bournemouth game. Amazing what a new manager boost can give us all.
