    Joe Bennett

Felt for him yesterday, he could have sunk into the ground after his mistake, he never. He grew into the game as it went on and for most of the second half I forgot he was on, which is good from where he started. Not sure hes our long term left back but he did a job and showed great strength of character, well done Joe
  2. Gabby will score and we will win 3-1, Samba getting sent off for hauling gabby down, QPR are shit, don't let the hype of Old Arry get to ya Villa. UTV
  3. I never heard booing, a big sigh perhaps? 35K for this one, QPR have no fans outside of the london based media, never a premier league club, even with the money. UTV

The Redknap/ MON media love in could be well and truly shattered this season. I wonder if MON would stay and try for promotion or run away, QPR would be finished financially that is for sure. I'm still not convinced we will stay up, we have given ourselves a fighting chance. injuries or suspensions could cost us, key players and all that.
  5. I'm not a fan of Gervais either but credit were its due. The fact that most people think something is wrong with Derek, until they spend time with him, shows more about the people he meets than it does him. The bald guy lines on community service were funny as f**k, "they send em here for community service for a couple of weeks for a punishment, i have been here for 10 years, what i have done wrong?" You start of feeling sorry for Derek but in the end you sort of envy his outlook on life.
  6. Watching Derek over the last few weeks, has some very funny moments, writing "clearing in the woods" amongst other insults on the back of crabs on the beach was one of em, Duran Duran tribute band was another, well worth a watch IMO
  7. I didn't want him at the time he signed and haven't been a fan since. I do think in the right system he could work, he does however need some movement in front of him to suit his passing style. N Zogbia tends to try and run through rather than pass through the oppositions defense, he more effective in our team. Thats not to say im a fan of his either.

Its very easy for us to go out against Arsenal and give it our all with no fear or nerves, something that's affected us over many of the games we have lost, the must wins..... Many of these games are won and lost in the players heads before they even get out on the pitch, experiences, like the ground out win against West Ham, should help them, it may well be to little to late but at least we have given ourselves a chance. 9. Foals, Holy Fire, first plays and its rather good
  10. If its a real small budget then ditch the idea of any shocks, unless your going to do Can Chas at speed you can get away without em and the bike will be a lot lighter than having huge useless shocks strapped to the front.

Vlar's the difference for me, gives Clark the confidence to start to grow, lowton seems to be digging on and trying, although at times his head drops hes beginning to learn that he needs to carry on. Baker is a great player for me, central defender made in heaven, power and a fair bit of pace and balls of steel, hes at left back atm which wont do his overall game any harm, his gonna be a big big player for Villa. Midfield is still weak for me, Delph, as someone else pointed has cut out the lose the ball then lunge in aspect of his game, he does however over complicate his game with trying to beat to many men in the wrong parts of the pitch....our half. Westwood is a tidy player, but ain't gonna rip up any trees. The forward line is gonna score goals all day long, the are real handful. relegation......if Vlar can stay fit then no, it will be a nervous end to the season. FWIW i think we will beat Arsenal
  12. Nice to keep a clean sheet, we need it. Prefer a 1-0 win to 5-1 win........the score we be 1-1.

Struggle to get a point away to Everton.........lol, hard place to go despite the fact we messed up and lost a 2 goal advantage..........it was a good result on paper. Reckon we will beat West Ham, not sure we will stay up though. Every year 3 teams go down, Newcastle, qPR, Stoke bla bla may well laugh loudest this year but next year, if they go down, who will laugh then? Its a game, for someone to win someone has to lose, our time may well have come but this club will not die,it will carry on......we will be back
  14. Jesus this is a hard season for us villa fans, nice ot have a point, especially against Everton away who are probably the best team I have seen at Villa park this season. Baker for Clark and a win at home and I think we can build on this point, we are crying out for a clean sheet, after that we do stand a chance........UTV
  15. "a brown paper bag stuffed with a huge bribe is not how we do business any more despite what the public perception is." I know, for a fact, that bribery and corruption is rife within the public and private sector. Just look in any box, match day and you will see more than enough to know your wrong. Football agent agent type people are not confined to football.
  16. Time to ditch the 5-3-2, or i it 3-5-2? Its got to be 4-4-2 against Everton, we need to see the team that finished against Newcastle. We have all the players to fit 4-4-2 and some. Vlar should be coming back to full fitness, stick him next to Clark (i would prefer Baker but we haven't got a prayer with Bennet at the moment) and Baker at left back. Lambert knows we played better with the 4-4-2 formation, if he chooses to abandon it then my doubts will start to grow. A Morpheus post has made sense to me..........
  17. 532 why? Its cost us in at least 4 games in a row, sort it out ffs, we have no width and our wing backs have no protection at all from midfield. 442 Second half better while gabby went at the fullback, after we scored he seemed to drift in more and our threat turned into pumping balls through the middle. My worry is the lack of shape and discipline in the team, we don't keep our shape and only seem to have limited options to pass out up front. Our forwards play with their backs to goal, we have pace lets use. Special mention to the fans, i was in the Holte and in the second half they helped lift our team and forced them to be brave, screaming and shouting encouragement, loads stopped to clap the team as well, well done all, those fans deserve better Mr Lerner......... Newcastle, well done first half, Taylor is a p***k and the goading of the Holte was a disgrace. Their the worst team I have seen at Villa this season (bar us) and I still think they are in trouble. 18. The HS2 is coming lets get ready for it a make the most of it for Birmingham. We need to get our ass in gear and develop the area around the station into a highly attractive area for retail, restaurants, live entertainment, hit the ground running. Get moor street connection to Stratford sorted, a Tolkien based attraction. Perhaps a museum of Birmingham as well. Make no mistake about it, if there is a quick line between Birmingham and London tourists will go the south, play up to our strengths and we may well attract some north. Its time for the leaders (lol) of Birmingham to make a stand for us to show our cities strengths to the world.

    Top Gear

To many middle aged, middle class white males with very dodgy haircuts (the funniest part of the show for me). How many cars did they test drive......1, they should leave the comedy to comedians and do a car show with a few laughs in it.

I have a feeling this one is still in the making, we have most likely had to up the bid and Charlton are waiting on replacements to sign before they announce it, fingers crossed.
  21. Guzan Lowton ---Vlaar----Baker----Stephens Delph----Westwood---Clark----Bennet Weimann----Benteke 1-1
  22. Is it, QPR and Newcastle have them in their contracts? I find it highly unlikely that information regarding any players contract is widely known, hardly a selling point at the time of putting pen to paper.
  23. If Newcastle go down who is going to offer Sisokko... and the others 75k a week? QPR have a whole load of unsellable players, not because their no good, they just have huge weekly wages that no one can or will match, as per Hutton and co for us. The whole game has gone mad, someone is going to pay this season, 3 teams have to go down and as it looks now QPR are in the last chance saloon and Newcastle are raising the stakes to a whole new level, if they lose against us their whole club is at risk........Hopefully the press vultures will move on form us.
  24. BB has been a remarkable series for me, everyone I know, that has given it a chance have remarked at how it has grabbed their imagination. Netflix subscribers will rocket once this gem goes main stream.
  25. Lambert's remit was to rid the club of high earners and try and keep us in the premier league without the panic buying that brought players like Hutton and Ireland into this club. If we go down, which looks likely to me, Lambert will get the chance to bring us back up, next Christmas will be the measuring stick. He rebuilt Norwich from the ground up and that is why he was brought to Villa. The likes of Newcastle and QPR are risking their whole existence to try and guarantee premier league football, if the gamble doesn't last at least 2 seasons they are in deep financial trouble. Mr Lerner has not got the money or the time to be more hands on with the Villa, we have to be self sufficient and this has to be achieved soon, very soon....... Hate mail is received by 99% of managers, as someone else as pointed out, the press smell blood. UTV
