We need a captain in the middle of the park, one with enough about him to push the other players into performing when the going gets tough.

We're building a club on a championship budget with a few premiership players already on board, it's a hard hand to play, especially for a club with the expectations a club like our has. I/ We need to wake up and look at what little facts we have, Lerner has less money than he used to have, divorce and the banking fiasco plus a few panic buys....... The games changed with all the false money being pumped in via super rich owners....... The press being London. Based, despite our history, high profile fans and all the rest we still have a real small profile, especially when we look at clubs like QPR, West Ham .. I know we can compete and I also feel were a few steps ahead of clubs we are all looking at with envy atm, UTV .

If Lerner was a bad owner he would borrow against the club tp buy players, if it didn't workpput he could just walk away and leave us in a mess that could destroy the club. If Man U don't make it into the champions league for a few seasons we will see the implications of real shit owners. If he was to sell he would have to prepare the club by cutting costs, getting rid of the dead wood which would leave him with a clear conscience when it came to selling. Leaving the new owners totally responsible for any success or failure. What I don't like is the lack of information from the club, FWIW Lerner is very similar to Doug, which isn't a bad thing IMHO

They should tell us whats happening, that's the problem, all very well having a plan, not communicating that plan to the most important members of the team, the fans, is a major mistake. IMHO

What's going on is that the two centre backs that Lambert wanted as first choice are injured, and our best player (Benteke)is injured/out of form, isn't it? Why can't we spend £5-6m on a central midfielder, does Lambert feel we need one? If we are skint then whats the harm in just saying that, perhaps the CEO could say it and explain where we are in getting rid of the high earners and where we aim to be in terms of playing staff. Will we increase the spending, if we can't then whats the plan? I can cope with been shit, I just need to know what the plan is to stop us being shit, where we are in this plan and where are we going, if there is a plan. UTV

I think his age is catching up with him, getting old now...........Injury, his form and the teams form are factors. Will he leave ? Not anytime soon, we pay him what he's worth and no team will beat that and pay the fee we would demand.

If this is the case then perhaps it should be relayed to the fans so we all know where we going and what the plan is. Perhaps saying your present players aren't good enough is damaging to the team as it stands today, either way its a fine balancing act between keeping the fans happy, at home and the players happy on the pitch.
