  1. Exactly what I thought when we was linked with him
  2. I have seen this type of conversion as well. I think alot of it is to do with the AI used by social media and Google etc creating advertising profiles for its users and then using it to fill their news feeds with articles that feed their curiosity and enforces certain radical pov. AI has alot to answer for and it will only get worse IMO.
  3. Joe Gomez injury record........... would not be a good buy at the £20m + he's quoted at. The last issue seems a serious one with underlying issues being the cause. 4. Yea arrogant as well, plus he took a dig at Birmingham in one of his latest vlogs, stopped following him at that point. Not sure if anyone has posted Colin Furze, this guy's seriously talented.
  5. I doubt we have the ability looking at our last few signings, the more I think about last summer the more I can't believe the crap Purslow spouted when we lost Jack. 3 players to replace 1 and none of them play in his position and the best of them (most logical) was signed before Jack left . If it looks, sounds and smells like a mistake then it is a mistake.
  6. Started it last night, the first episode was ok but did fear it would fall away as most BBC seem to. The Fall had a good start but the end was a complete farce, like a group of 8 year old kids had written it.
  7. Saka preferred side is the right, ESR does play on the left but I'm not going for the hype that surrounds Arsenal's youth players, Ramsey has shown signs of being just as affective and Chuck as well, just needs game time. Plus Arsenal are never going to let either of those to go, they want to improve their squad not weaken it. This summer's transfers window was an absolute disaster for us, Beundia was ok but Ings and Bailey look like a backward step . Bailey is another Bert and Ings is a fantastic but ageing striker who will give you two seasons at this level but will need cover for injuries.
  8. Another right winger ? As for ESR, we have Beundia for that role and his starting to look good in a relatively shit team. I would want £60m + for Ollie, he's an Enlgand international who's still got it in him to improve and the most important factor is hes not injury prone , a fact that should weigh heavily on any decisions around transfers .
  9. If he goes it won't be to Arsenal unless the fee is is very low.
  10. This is the type of manager that would show ambition. There are others that would take some convincing to come to us but that's Purslow's job, to get us a manger we probably don't deserve. See above, Neil Warnock doesn't shout ambition. Anyway I hope SG works out and I'm fully behind him , he's shown some signs of improving us, especially in the middle of the park.
  11. We didn't need to take such a big chance, we could have waited for a manager with a proven record of creating teams that win and changing games with substitutions. I do think SG will succeed given time and money but it's more of a risk than I would have taken at our stage and SG's. he pressure will build pretty quickly if we drop down a few places, is SG experienced enough to cope with that type of pressure? An early indicator of our chances of success will be players staying or leaving, if the likes of Watkins , McGinn start to go then the writing is on the wall
  12. Just finished Gomorrah season 5 , in my top 2 TV series of all time , with Sapranos, can't separate them .
  13. McGinn and Ramsey have to support the full backs , this is why we aren't creating from the middle. We have Douglas there who is great at nothing but decent at everything. ( Apart from challenging a player who has the ball) Really bad result today against a Brentford team missing 5 first team players.
  14. This for me as well, their being asked to create and our midfield should be covering for them while their doing it. What's happening is they aren't creating enough and our midfield aren't upto speed with covering for them, Ramsey for the first goal, just let a runner fly passed him.
  15. At least we had 3 months with some decent ideas from throw ins , looks like we're back to same old crap now though.
  16. 5 bad games and your out .
  17. So frustrating, at our best we are heads above Brentford but at our worst we aren't as good as them and today we displayed both. Not sure we have the full backs to play this system in the premier League. Cash maybe but Target is out of his depth. Letting Brentford in for the first goal was the start of our downfall, at 1 up we still continued to chase the game giving away possession attempting to score the second, we need to learn to kill the game and build on a result.
  18. Really need to not lose this one, if we do then the next games look so much harder to get anything from. 2-2 for me.
  19. To a certain extent you see what you want to see in players (boxers as well). For me I have to agree with Tro, Dougie's a decent player but has found his level and thats mid table. Hes decent at everything but not exceptional in anything. He also has a tendency to over commit in our box . Looks very tidy when there's no pressure on the ball.
  20. Succession , on season 2. What a great show. Vile characters living the lifestyles of the mega rich , it's fantastic.
  21. **** it, let's kick the shit out of 22, happy new year all.
