  1. You could have just learnt to run. Doug is a very frustrating player , he can look good but he can also look hopeless all in the space of 5 minutes. He's to inconsistent for us to push on and he's had enough time to remove the lapses in his game and they still keep happening. I would cash in .
  2. Loads of the older generation have defined benefit pensions, a valuation of one of those show why the older generation are considerable richer than the majority of younger adults. You can also add to that the benefits of being home owners. I feel sorry for the under 30's , they are at a distinct disadvantage brought about by weak unions, a strong Tory party and a weak Labour party.
  3. If he stays there's no guarantee he will get to the required levels, if he's unsure about staying then that says enough for me , I would let him go after making a decent offer. Maybe Arsenal are sniffing around him after we stirred up the ESR contract negotiations with our bid
  4. Keep us informed as I started it but quit after the first episode, seemed like it was going the same way as The Fall, which descended into a farce after a decent start .
  5. Politics has become tribal, people will not admit they were wrong about Boris when they backed him during the Brexit vote and subsequent election. He was smirking today during his PMQ, the contempt he's has for the people of the United Kingdom is disgusting.
  6. He's our only left winger , best hope Coutinho can get up to speed quickly and stay injury free.
  7. IOur captain was a left sided winger, Ings doesn't help replace him.
  8. We missed countless opportunities to score or even make chances from some great positions. Time and time again we broke free and checked our runs because of a lack of options. We are to narrow and unless we can get some amazing full backs this system isn't going to work for us. Add to that we have £80m worth of wingers and it's all looking a bit messy. Commentator said Man U had failed to keep a clean sheet in 19 games and you can see why, they was very lucky tonight. Not sure what happened for the goal but it was far to easy for Mc Tom, basically a free header in the 6 yard box dreadful defending all round. The VAR decision was typical....... why was Ramsey standing offside anyway, it must have some use but I can't see what, can anyone try and explain? Hopefully that idea will now be canned as it's very easy to exploit with VAR in its present state We can't keep losing games cheaply and we are doing just that. Make no mistake, tonights Man U team was woeful , god knows what's going on there but it ain't gonna end in cheers that's for sure. If they play like that against a clinical team they will get thrashed.
  9. Confidence player for me, when he's lacking in it he's very erratic.
  10. Saw this as well, Ming's just walked off.
  11. He did and I'm not saying Smith wouldn't have beat utd tonight either. Gerrard is our future for now but it took more than a few games for me to be convinced by Smith and i have a feeling it will take more than a few with Gerrard as well. His subs were certainly questionable today but he did have a limited choice. Ings and Watkins....is a problem that he needs to solve ASAP.
  12. Its obvious that the players quality is a letting the managers down, Smith and Gerrard. Who actually picks who we are signing is the real question. Cash, Target and Ming's were all purchased when we lower premier League teams , their not good enough for challenging the top 6 and the midfield is also lacking. We are stuck in mid table and buying our way out of it is a short term solution and is very risky for the whole club.
  13. Same problems different manager, we need players that can bring us a nasty edge , that want to win at all costs and tell their team mates that on the pitch when we start to flounder.
  14. We have looked pretty at times but blew it with poor decisions . Both teams have been very poor. Man U have had 2 or 3 break aways they managed to balls up.
  15. I don't agree , both teams have been poor. Misplaced passes and half chances missed time and time again from both teams.
  16. We seem to be going down this route for periods in most games, not sure what it is but as you say its worrying , reminds me of periods in our first season back up in the premier.
  17. We look very nervous. Hope we don't concede again but it could go either way at the moment.
  18. It will go to penalties, 0-0 then we beat them from the spot
  19. I agree on that showing but it's a big gamble at his stage. If he gets loaned out to a championship club ( with guarantees on him starting ) then he will meet a higher quality of winger week in week out without the pressure of failing in one game, at our level, and being dropped, a situation that is hard to come back from. Either way hes one hell of a talent
  20. I would loan him out again, another year of development and he will be our first choice. Just get him on a long contract now.
  21. Swindon's best player , beautiful couple of over the top balls have beat city a few times. He's far better than their level , needs to go up a division or maybe 2!
  22. Imagine being so short sighted you threaten the main one with trade restrictions while they have their foot on your throat with gas prices.
