  1. You are joking? They have destroyed our rivers with sewerage being pumped into them , ruined our coastlines with the same sewerage companies getting a free ride. Why bother with treatment plants and expensive chemicals when we can just pump it straight into our natural ecosystems. It's a complete and utter disaster with little press coverage. See here for the river Wyes destruction, heart breaking
  2. Let's see how Spurs do with a new manager , as for Jack sulking, so what he's sulking now at city. Saha , Philips , Rice and countless other players learn to deal with ambitious clubs who hold onto their biggest assets when they have their heads turned. You don't build anything letting your best players go, we have seen it all before. School boy error with the buy out clause. Let's see who was right at the end of this season.
  3. Kane stayed and countless other players have stuck with "lesser" teams when the big boys have come sniffing. The sell clause was our downfall and whoever allowed it to be written into the contract is to blame. He was still on a long contract so giving him a sell out clause was a big mistake .
  4. Watched Dune 2021 yesterday, I like it , I like it alot . 9 out of 10 for me.
  5. If we sack Smith and don't replace him with a real top class manager that demands respect from these players then we will definitely go down.
  6. You don't buy a 29 year old England striker with the thought of sitting on the bench, Watkins is fundamental to our high press game. The purchase of ings was strange to say the least, it forces us to play 2 strikers up front which leaves 2 of Bailey, Bert and Buendía on the bench. If it was a young striker with potential I could understand the logic of buying another striker, Ings .....doesn't and never did make sense. Unless Watkins had other options ...
  7. I'm not sure many of us did fail to see it. Plenty on here noticed our poor ability off the ball well before the recent run of form. The simple truth is there is no quick and easy answer to drag us out of it but we need to start somewhere and a new coach ( picked from those that are available) is not the easy answer many seem to think it is. Basically we have a squad and coaching staff and we need to find answers within those confines. We need to stop leaking so many goals even if it still means losing , we shouldn't be losing by such large margins and so easily. My answer would be to stop playing 3 up top and bolster our defence in the middle of the park.
  8. I see your point but I can't see who could come in and turn this around other than Smith. We have been here before with him and he managed to pull us out of it and I'm sure he can again. Question still need to be answered though as the players we have brought in the summer do not seem to have improved our first team squad enough to warrant the outlay. Bailey has promise and fills the gap left by Jack, I can see the logic in that. Ings is a problem to fit in the first 11 and keep our shape and Buendia doesn't seem to be that much better than Bert. Plenty of us have picked out the midfield as an area for improvement but Dean seems to not agree. Yet Ramsey , a relatively unproven youth player, is in the starting 11. ( He's not a bad player) There's examples all over the pitch where we could have improved with relatively small outlay but we haven't, Young is another example of weakness in the squad that should have been addressed.
  9. I agree with most of what you're saying but JT would definitely not be the answer. He hasn't got the experience and would basically fall apart after a couple more losses. Smith can turn this around but he needs to start again and go back to basics. Let's get more in the midfield and try and stop teams playing to try and stop the losses. We can build the creative part of the game from a solid base and we have the players to come off the bench to do that late in games, at least games that we have managed to stay in.
  10. The parallels with the Leicester game and Sherwood are frightening ( no hand waving though tf) Smith's denial is the worrying factor for me , it's not going to make us better or harder to beat .
  11. I didn't get the recruitment either tbh, Ings was very strange, if we had brought a younger player I could have seen it but his age and quality was always going to force us into playing him. Bailey I can sort of get as far as a Grealish replacement but he was never going to be as good not straight away anyway.
  12. We need to find a different answer from the squad we have. Maybe it's time for a youngster to get the nod or Samson. We can't continue to not compete in games , we looked like we lacked courage to fight until the perceived injustice sparked us into life. It's not good enough.
  13. Don't think that will work tbh, I tried torque and it didn't work before I blew £60 on the software and adapter to reset my fault, where are you based?
  14. Which code reader and program did you use? I had to use bimmerlink and a specialist odb Bluetooth adapter .
  15. Just received a ticket on a hire car after parking road side in Spain, come back to ticket stuck to the screen for €100 if I pay now or €200 if I leave it for 2 weeks. Should I pay, has Brexit changed the fine systems hold over UK law, to say I'm pissed is an understatement only thr hire cars were tickets with Spanish private cars left alone.
  16. We haven't breached any agreement, have we? The issue is French fisherman have to prove historical fishing in our waters to get a permit and there is a delay in granting permits and they also have difficulty proving they have fished in our waters? Might be the press pushing this agenda as cheap click bait. A British vessel was impounded for fishing illegally in French waters, which is standard practice.
  17. Maybe, just maybe it's the realisation that this has happened will start to bring about changes to the way our political system is being run.
  18. He wouldn't have made the bench at 18 (for city) and his off field antics would have probably finished him before he had started to get near the bench.
  19. Yep, the supermarkets will just buy the cheapest they can and charge the public the same price they do now. More money for the middle men.
  20. I watched God and Yorke play as a season ticket holder ......Jack was and is a more talented player Was he more affective? Maybe but from a poorer team overall, if we had been a top 6 team (as we was with God and Yorke) with Jack in it we would have pushed for the top. What Jack did was allow us to build a team around him and then leave dropping us in the shit, he never made his mind up until the meeting with Guardiola at the restaurant. I can't forgive him for that but suppose thats a flaw in his personality we have all seen before, impulsive. Will Jack succeed? I'm not to sure about that tbh, he was God here, at city hes not and never will be. He will win more trophies but...... He will get less press exposure and won't be as revered in Manchester as he was in Birmingham, no where near. How will his ego cope with that? I wish him well ( took this long for me to be able to do that ) and hope he gets what's he's looking for but suspect he has just hit a rich vain of fools gold. UTV
  21. No, he's black, very confident (could say cocky) and vocal, a combination some people can't cope with I'm afraid.
  22. Yep it's clear to see he has no help when he trys to break forward. We may get away with playing this system once every 4 or 5 games when the opposition don't expect it but when they do expect they appear to be able to counter it and cause us problems all over the pitch. Another noticeable tatic from Arsenal was their ability to waste time, very affective in killing the game and something we should be doing in games once we are in front.
  23. Oh dear we was poor first half, Arsenal, lucky to score the penalty and the 3rd goal was a defection but they deserved the win. Need to change the system we look far to narrow. The 3 cb offer no width and that leaves the full backs covering to much ground. Feel as if we are trying to squeeze players onto the pitch to keep them happy. Ings and Watkins are a problem when they play together. Buendía plays some lovely through balls but he's to light weight for the number 10 role , needs to be on a wing. Bailey looks a right handful and should be starting , but where he fits in. We appear to have some great players but in trying to replace "he who will not be named" we seem to have forgot he played on the left. Which one of these new signings plays there?
