    Liverpool

It's easier to stretch your leg out than to bring it in, and it's easier for the keeper to dive in either direction by being so low. Also, that is a still shot before Barry even took a shot so for all we know he could have taken a different stance just before the shot was fired - it's not like he was waiting for it like that. Question is, should he have been further out to narrow the angle.
  2. True, but if we are gonna base our predictions on who has a more expensive team then what's the point of even playing the game. Have some faith, we can do them
  3. Maybe, but football is not stats and maths. Maybe De Bruyne pulls a muscle in 7th minute. Maybe Traore scores a free kick. Maybe the ref gives Foden a 2nd yellow for a dive. A full strength Villa has a good chance against anyone, and the better we are the less "help" we need.
  4. can you say that very quickly 3 times?
  5. I think that he would walk into a team like Sheffield Utd or West Brom and bring some real quality. Good sub for us this year, next year I am hoping for better options off the bench.
  6. In order to win in the CL he would have to move to one of the following; Bayern, PSG, Juve, Plop, Man City. Bayern don't spend like that, PSG with Pooch - maybe?, Juve is interesting, he ain't going to Liverpool or Man City. Also, major English players don't go abroad that often so I don't know, I think he is staying at Spurs unless he goes to PSG.
  7. Absolutely, that's why I said it's not that simple. At the same time, spurs probably won't play 41 games, and I can only assume that math geniuses at the PL can move stuff around in a way that will enable everyone to finish their seasons. There is no good reason why Spurs couldn't play on a Tuesday, Saturday, Monday, Thursday and Sunday - that's 5 games in 12 days. Not ideal, but I'm sure every team will have to make some sacrifices this season.
  8. I appreciate it's not that simple, but there are what, 20 games left? Let's say we played every 4 days consecutively. That's 80 days, 2 and a half months. We will easily finish everything by end of May, PL will have to move stuff around but it's logistically doable.
  9. Very good game, spurs are very poor and predictable. I bet we would have scored 2 or 3 in the 2nd half. You are welcome Fulham.
  10. 1.Take this message. 2.Cross out Barkley and Chelsea. 3. Replace with Mings and Bournemouth. 4. Prove point.
  11. Ok, I just saw the explanation above. I understand the logic but don't agree we can translate it like that
  12. Can someone explain to me how the vaccine works? Phitzer/Moderna and co. claim to be 90/95% effective. Is that; a)95% chance I won't get the virus b)95% chance if I get the virus I won't be ill and won't show symptoms c)95% chance once I get the virus I won't spread it and won't be ill but I'll still be a carrier d)95% chance I won't die once I get ill This is actually an important issue because I haven't yet read what is it that it affects, 90/95% of the time.
  13. I thought Sports Direct arena can safely hold 84 thousand people?
  14. And he is always making a big deal about being a plop fan. I don't give a crap about Liverpool, that's why I like to listen to WM football phone in, not Talk Sport. Franksy would never talk about 'his' team and would actually lead an interesting show. He is literally a guy who walks into a vegan restaurant and talks about how much he likes steak. I really dislike the new presenter.
  15. I haven't looked at any data on this but I think that many of us are moving in the right direction - offices offer leisure discounts, everyone has a fit bit/garmin/whatever, there are gyms opening everywhere, there are businesses that will send you a week's worth of healthy meals, everyone knows how many steps they made today, the private sector is really pushing the 'healthy' lifestyle. I'd just like the government to send a message out about looking after yourself rather than pushing a narrative of staying at home and ordering takeaways as a result of it!
  16. I really don't understand why the government isn't screaming from the rooftops to tell people to properly supplement and release guidance on it - instead of going on a run and getting some fresh air, sun and implementing a healthy diet we should all stay at home and fear for our lives.
  17. Well, there are a number of factors in how someone reacts to any illness, coronavirus included. Age, diet, underlining conditions, medication, alcohol consumption, overall fitness, sex, how much sleep you get, are you properly dressed in the winter, a million different factors. I appreciate that it's important that we socially distance and shield against this virus, but saying ''The virus doesn't give a flying f*$# whether you're healthy or not.'' is extremally dangerous and we should not be thinking this way. If anything, right now we should be screaming about the right vitamin dosage, diet, exercise so we create a healthy society that is less likely to get a severe illness. Footballers are healthier than an average Joe so they are less likely so suffer from this horrible virus. We shouldn't be saying the virus doesn't give a shit about our health because it empirically does - let's look after ourselves and get our close ones to do the same, because next to social distancing that is the best weapon we have against this pandemic.
  18. I might be wrong in a few weeks time (in which case a hat will be eaten) but nothing is getting cancelled. Worst case, next season will be pushed to start in September. People say they don't understand how the season was stopped in March and is carrying on now. Well, now we know that while it's a dangerous disease that will affect many volnourable, it's not the apocalypse we thought we'd be facing. Footballers are fit, young and healthy and it's most likely they will be unaffected by the virus. Of course, they could catch it and transfer it to others, but I'd attribute that to their lifestyles rather than playing in probably the most controlled and regulated job in the country. It's what they do off the pitch that will cause risks. We also have drugs that minimise death, we have the jabs, we have far more knowledge. There is just too much money involved to stop it now with the knowledge that we have, that we lacked in March.
  19. NBA showed how it could be done with its finals behind closed doors. Everyone in a bubble, games played with no issues. If the worst came, I see no reason why Euros couldn't be completed in a similar fashion in a city with numerous stadiums (just to keep pitches fresh). I.e. London. But, I expect the virus to slow down in the summer with the ongoing vaccinations. Euros will happen, and the PL will finish.
  20. I'm sorry, but taking our British hats off and considering the wider football world, Portugal Vs France is looked at as far more important, entertaining and prestigious than West Ham Vs Burnley on a Tuesday night.
