You can be a great manager, of a great club, with great success, numerous trophies, the best squad AND be full of shit at the same time. These characteristics aren't contradictory.

Klopp could have played whatever team he wanted, he has every right to play whatever team he sees fit. But, if you are gonna play Salah and Mane and Fabinho against 16 year olds, don't ever complain about subs, or fixtures, or the winter break. Great manager, great team, but full of shit.

Do you know what I like most? They play just the way first team does. This is a well trained system and players like Barry will have no problems walking into the first team when the time comes. Well done the coaching team, there clearly is an "Aston Villa" way

Last year Klopp could have played any team he wanted - Salah's, Mane's, whoever he wanted. He just chose not to.

I always wondered, is it shit scouting in these cases? How can you make a judgement so poor? There is clearly a player there, what can go so wrong?

I predict that in the near future vaccines will be widely available, just like testing is now. Back in March it was all about testing the health workers. Now everyone is getting tested, and you can privately purchase relatively cheap rapid tests if you want to. I can only assume the same will happen with vaccines; all elderly and priority will get vaccinated by the summer, new vaccines and drugs will come out, they will become more available. I think that elite sports athletes will get vaccinated by the summer, and it won't be a 'big deal'.

Or, the Premier League should have cameras across the pitch so that the ref always has the best sideview of the incident. None of this angled bullshit. No lines, just see if the man is clearly offside. If in doubt, go by the original refs call.

Mike Dean once said on the Peter Crouch podcast that because he is so experienced and knowledgeable he can make a decision being 30 yards away when a younger ref will need to be 10/15 yards away to make that call. The arrogance of that statement and the absolute lack of self criticism or a desire to improve the decision making process shows how far detached the "elite" referees are.

I don't remember ever calling a striker "immense" when they don't score goals and miss numerous chances. And I think Watkins deservers to be called that.

While I wouldn't be jumping with happiness about Alli, I think that is a very important point. I think that Barkley has just found the right club. I think another player that is crying out for a transfer is John Stones. It might just be that Alli also needs a change of scenery to be making an impact.

I think that a player that slows us down the most is Grealish. And that is not a bad thing at all.

I remember that game very well. We played like shit and ended up conceding. It was the worst Villa Park game for me, just because of the performance, Christmas, relatively high expectations following decent previous seasons, overall shit show. So as long as I can see McGinn do his predictable ass turn, it will make for a better experience this year!

I think that a fit Barkley has to play. So, the question is AEG or Traore. I think Traore is the better player. But, I think AEG from the start will be more beneficial than a Traore from the start, and I think Traore at 70mins will give more than AEG at 70mins. Figure that one out eh?

If he scored last night, would you trust him with the next one when we are 1-1 against Crystal Palace at 80mins in? And if he took and missed that one, how low would his confidence be then? It's smart to leave him from pens for a little while, I'm sure he will take them in the long term future.

I think McGinn was great and have him MOTM. He was everywhere, winning balls, intercepting, playing smart passes and doing his usual turns. He was the fuel to fire Traore and AEG. *Please get rid of Grealish from the vote, he was by far the best but it's just pointless picking him every week

If Traore took a shot half the times ElGhazi did he would have scored a couple. Thank god we have someone who isn't afraid to shoot, but my god the guy needs to hit the target.
