  1. Where did you find the voucher codes? Were they in an email? It's so long ago I can't remember if I've seen them or not.
  2. I'm pretty sure I put my left over season ticket find towards future tickets. How do I confirm that? Will it be somewhere on my online account somewhere? Part of me wants to just use it for a few upgrades into the North stand Gas Lamp hospitality a few times next year.
  3. Myron Boadu has just scored twice for Netherlands against France in the U21s. Looked him up and he is 20 and has 1 in 2 for AZ. That seems a much more likely type of target than Tammy. But then again, Dike who was at Barnsley would probably jump infornt of him in the queue due to English experience. Its hard to predict this new, actually efficient scouting set up. It was much easier in the old days, it would just be some nondescript bench player with one appearance for a top 6 club.
  4. In assuming we'll dip into the championship at some point...although I haven't kept up with it this season at all. Whoscored has Buendia as top rated. Sarr is in the top 20 but doesn't seem to be spoken about much by anyone anymore. Olise is in there. Danjuma from Bournemounth appears to have done well and Souttar may be an interesting signing at CB to replace Engels. For comparison, the previous year's list had Benrahma top, Perreira, Eze, Bowen, Watkins, Cash all in the top 20, so seems a good gauge of those who may be successful.
  5. This kind of stuff always happened to Villans on international duty. Time to turn the tables!
  6. Agreed, but I'd add "for our budget" to the end of your sentence. I think £40m is about in line with what a competent PL striker goes for now, but I don't think we'll use our budget up on that position at that price.
  7. I'd like him back...but he stinks of a West Ham signing.
  8. It will start with a three...and end with Josh Onomah
  9. I think players like VDB just aren't what we're about any more. Too expensive to begin with and our signings seem to have a point to prove...I think VDB (and any others from the benches of CL teams) would see Villa as a step down and lack a bit of edge.
  10. Interesting article with Norwich's owner on the BBC talking about their financial situation. Essentially, they haven't got any money and won't be 'doing a Fulham' by gambling TV money. They'll sell in no time once an offer is in, imo. Just depends how man teams are fighting it out. Little snippet quotes him taking about having to sell players. "If we do sell one, it's going to be a club record deal," he said. "It's probably going to start with a number three in front of it and that will give us great opportunities to maybe make the whole better as well. We're really relaxed on that front."
  11. This is the thing. He does such mad shit during games that even when I thought he scuffed it at VP, I was still pretty sure he must have done it on purpose.
  12. Silva in the first few minutes than Kovacic later on I think. He's so enjoyable to watch with the ball.

    Dwight McNeil

I'm sure Lee Hendrie told a story about how the squad got Postma a loads of dildos to take the piss when the news story broke. Postma pretty much just said 'oh a bag of dildos, nice. Thanks guys' and was really happy.
  14. I'd love to see pictures of genuine designs that were rejected each season.
  15. What the f*** is going on for Leicester's second penalty against Spurs? Vardy grabs Sanchez's arm, pretends it pulls him and then just dives? A load of BS. Checked by VAR and still given. Comparing that to what Watkins got actually booked for against Man U is a joke.
  16. Things like this should be shown to refs and they should get told to wise-up to this shit. Start giving hand balls against players who do this. There isn't one contact in the whole of that video that would make a player go down like that. People could say Grealish does the same but I think he draws solid contact before going down, not throwing himself to the floor.
  17. I was unsuccessful in the first ballot, notified by email. I then got another email the day after saying a second ballot had been drawn and I had been successful in that one. That email was about 11.30am on Thursday. It did state that I had until 4pm that day to purchase tickets but I managed to at around 10.30pm and there were very few left, in clumps of threes mainly.
  18. Anyone know how stringent they're going to be on the 'photo ID' part of the entry? One of the season ticket holders in my group hadn't uploaded a photo so it isn't printed on his ticket...wondering if that will cause an issue.
  19. Pretty sure we helped Soldado score his first goal in ages as well. First non-penalty goal or something.

    Liverpool

If any team didn't 'accept the difficulties' it was those bar stewards. They complained, as a group, in every interview. Klopp pretty much started playing up to it by trying all the different combinations with CM dropping in and then blaming the injuries for his whole team being shit.
  21. Fair enough. I don't think disappointing is how I'd describe it though. If you expect 7 but get 5, you're not far off. If we expected 7 and he had 2 then I'd say there was a problem with finishing. I don't put too much weight on expected goals really, and just to be clear, I'm not saying Wesley is an elite finisher or anything. I don't think he has missed many chances that I felt he definitely should have scored but messed up...definitely not in the same way Samatta, Davis, or even Watkins at times should have.
  22. Scoring 5/7 is a fairly good ratio, no? I mean, after twenty-odd games you'd think our main striker would be 'expected' to have more than 7 goals anyway...but considering that's what number he was at, getting 5 is not far off that. I think his main problem is him getting into the positions and the fact we didn't create a lot last year...but when he was in the right area he normally did well.
  23. That doesn't necessarily mean he's not a good finisher though...just that he wasn't getting many chances (Or maybe struggling to get into the positions) Off the tip of my head his finishes against Everton at home, the control and shot against Burnley, and the one touches finishes against Arsenal and Norwich away show that he doesn't get too flustered in front of goal and is fairly sharp in that department.
