The Norwich game was the first away game I'd been to for a few seasons, I'd almost forgotten how awesome they are. Bought tickets for this as soon as I found out there was some still available. Gonna have to tell the missus I won them from work or something, this close to Christmas. I think we can get something out of this, especially if Weimann and Benteke keep their shooting boots on. Anyone know the last time we had back to back wins away from home?

I've mentioned this before in the 'things that piss you off' thread, but I sit next to a woman at work who is convinced the world will end next Friday. She's sitting right next to me now putting letters into envelopes. What a way to spend your last week.

You don't get anything in your transfer budget with Villa, well I didn't anyway. You have to reduce the wage bill and get a few free transfers and loans. Very first thing I did was get rid of Given, Warnock, N'Zogbia and Hutton. 170k a week off the wage bill straight away.

I usually do pretty good on FM. Picked Villa this year and my form so far is L, L, L, L, L, L. Scored 0, conceded about 22. Bit annoying after a bit.

Wow, sorry to hear that. How far did you get and from what point did it start hurting?

I did the half marathon Sunday, my first one ever. Did it in 2.28.28. Pretty rubbish, but I was just happy to finish it. I didn't do any training and wasn't planning on going through with it until the evening before. I got to the 8 mile mark without stopping in about 1hr15mins, before stopping and walking a minute or two, but I wish I hadn't. I just couldn't get started again after that. Stopped and started about 10 times until the finish. It's really made me want to take it seriosuly, put some training in for next year and try and shave at least 20 minutes off my time. Really enjoyed it aswell. I didn't quite realise the work and organisation that gets put into it. Amazing atmosphere. My dad watched me over the line and is thinking about giving it a go next year, he loved it.

Agree and agree. Holman man of the match again for me though. Quick mention to N'Zogbia too, thought he a good game.

Tonight - Buy Fifa 13, then Pub Saturday - Overtime at work in the morning so I can justify buying Fifa 13 to the Missus, nephew's 1st birthday party in the afternoon, then Fifa 13 Sunday - Lots of Fifa 13, singing on the Holte and then home for plenty of sleep. Will probably have to say hello the Missus at some point though.

Great picture but - if I can just introduce a small fashion comment here - the new shirts look incredibly ill-fitting. Hope we didn't pay too much for their design and manufacture. (Hope they can find one that actually fits Gabby, too.) The problem for me is Gabby wearing those boots with those socks. He looks like a zap icecream.

Yup, agree. I reckon we might see a few more players cement their place over the next few weeks though. Surely it's best for Vlaar who his centre back partner will be every week and we can't be changing the bloke between the sticks every other game? Or maybe I'm just not used to a rotation system

It would have been daft not to include Warnock or Hutton really, when there's space for them. No reason to leave them out.

I think I'm in the minority but I'm loving what Lambert is doing here. Buying young, hungry English talent and building for the future. I think it's great. I just hope we're okay this season.
