  1. I know most people say there isn't a real rivalry between us and Baggies or that 'they're obsessed with us and we don't care about them', but growing up and living where I do I know plenty of Baggies fans and hardly any bluenoses, so I never usually dismiss this derby as easily as others. But right now I couldn't care less. I'm not really hoping for 'bragging rights' or having banter with the tesco boys. I'm not bothered who were playing, I just want the three points. For what its worth, I have a sneaky feeling we could do them.
  2. What, evidence like us not being bottom of the league?
  3. Well I heard my own pump at one point. I've never been to an away game where I've heard my own pump.
  4. I've heard a few people say that actually. Maybe I should withdraw mine.
  5. The thing that bothers me is even if we do pull ourselves out this mess, thrash them at our place and get a place at Wembley, we still lost at to a League 2 side with a full strength squad. Convincingly beaten and outplayed all over the park as well. But for what it's worth I think we will get through and it will be another great semi-final at Villa Park
  6. I've not been to that many away games in my time, maybe 15-20, but that was the most hostile and quiet I've seen our travelling fans. A fair few people around me were giving the players shit from the first minute. A fight between our own fans broke out a few feet away from me. Songs didn't really get going either, we were louder when we were outside the ground (queuing to get in for 20 minutes, missing the first 10 minutes of the match). Not having a pop at anyone by the way, just an observation.
  7. That is the single, most self loathing post I have seen on this site. Fans happy at a win, shock horror! Mate, I'll celebrate every goal and win this club ever has, despite the opposition.
  8. we should buy him because i bought him on footballer manager and he was very good for me. he defended well and did the occasional goal

    Relegation

People were saying exactly the same thing last year. And the year before that. It's nothing to do with sticking in your head in the sand, it's about staying positive, supporting the club and not being defeatist. Can we at least wait until 2013 before saying it's 'nailed on'?
  10. I think OP's full stop key is stuck... ..... ..
  11. Oh I already have. Heaven forbid, I'd have no teeth if i hadn't. Well, I was in denial about it before, but I've taken the first step in admitting it. I'm a coca-colaholic.

I always find a very small amount of comfort in a loss knowing that any annoying people sitting around me will be grumpy that evening as well. We had a bloke sitting behind us a few weeks back with awful breath. He just shouted something angry whenever his mate did, giving useful advice to the players such as 'come on Villa, use it', straight down my ear-hole. I could smell his discontent. And breakfast. I wish it was at the spurs game, he might have left early.

Absolutely. Nobody's knocking anybody. I'm sure a lot of the people that left early that have been watching Villa a lot longer than I have and have witnessed much better and much worse times than this. But personally I'd rather more people stayed until the whistle and support the club rather than tuning in later to MOTD and seeing 20,000 empty seats and queues at the exits with 15 minutes to go.
  14. Stop drinking so much coke. It varies, but I probably get through 2-3 pints a day. Far, far too much.
  15. Modern pop music. We've had Capital radio on all day at work. The more I listen to this crap the more certain I am that it isn't just a matter of preference, it's just actually shit. It really is really shit. Genuinely don't understand how anybody can enjoy it.
  16. This! I've had it at work all morning. People who wouldn't be able to name any Villa player past or present having a dig. Another thing, I never give stick when other peoples teams lose, not even Blose, but I get it back loads. Might have to start handing it out.
  17. Somehow I'm still confident of a win. I think I'm setting myself up for a disappointment.
  18. I reckon Spurs are shaking in their boots at the moment, they have to face the backlash.
  19. I'm sorry to primary school friends Dan, Steve, Saleem and Sean for showing you it's funny to put your hand down your trousers, stick your finger out of your fly to look like a willy and chase girls in the playground. You all got caught doing it and were in trouble with the headmistress and your parents. I didn't get caught and I feel bad. Sorry about that. I'm sorry to Ryan for not letting you see the small box of 'page 3' clippings our group had when we were 10. I ran home with them to keep them from you and tripped on my driveway. Holding the box I was unable to stop my fall and smashed my face on the floor. My mom heard me crying and came out to see what was happening. I lied and told her you pushed me over and she really told you off. You only wanted to see some boobies and I framed you for bullying. Sorry about that.
  20. Damn! There was me looking forward to Christmas.
  21. Absolute rocket polishers. Even if we 100% knew the world was going to end I wouldn't tell my kids.
