I fast forward MOMS about 15 minutes, avoids all the nonsense and then there's some good Villa chat. 1874 was absolutely dire. Greg has roughly the same enthusiasm and knowledge of Villa as my girlfriend (none). Listening to him moan on is a chore. In the Villa View season review on YouTube there's a kid on there along with two other "experts". He came across so well - articulate, thorough and clearly studied Villa and the game intensely. Not sure his name but if he did a pod I'd listen often!

In addition, you understand people have broken contracts / threatened to strike to join Villa before (Benteke), or wound down contracts to then join Villa for free (Kamara). Its absurd. I was thinking this. They want new owners. Are those new owners also expected to pay the hundreds of millions of pounds the club is contracted to be paying for the new stadium? They're just like United fans. The board are providing money, but those spending it are like Steve Bruce at a right back warehouse.

This is the Gabby argument over, and over and again. "Gabby's a legend because he's our top Premier League Goalscorer". Yeah mate, he scored 60 goals in six million appearances. As for Ollie, of, ****, course he's the only striker to score double figures in last two seasons. He's the only one we have at the club who has been here two seasons, Keinan doesn't count. I think Ollie has regressed. But he has some credit left in the bank from season one. If he's still shit after 10 games though, it's the bench for you my friend.

I agree completely with you. But, he was never dropping Watkins. So then it's Ings, Watkins, Bailey, Buendia, Traore et al and we get absolutely smashed defensively. The signing didn't work because the manager tried to shoehorn them both into a team and couldn't find a viable way of doing it. I fear that managers replacement is doing the same thing.

The signing would have made perfect sense if Deano had a formation and the correct players ready and prepared to accommodate Ings in the system to allow the team to flourish. They didn't. It was a ridiculous signing. I would be very surprised if this was a Lange recommendation.

This is complete conjecture. "Transformed Aston Villa"? From what to what? A club that couldn't sign players from Seville and Everton to one that now can? Until those two have, (three if including Coutinho) have achieved something meaningful, to suggest Villa have been transformed is hyperbole beyond hyperbole.
