  1. I just love how after the first goal he High Fives all the staff and players. He's a class act.
  2. Yes, he can finish. But he's not good at it. In next seasons Champions League final, when it's 1-1 in the 96th minute and Villa have a three on one against Real Madrid's aging defence, who do you want shooting, Bailey, Ramsey or Watkins?
  3. I debate the bit in bold. His "goal of the month" candidate for example took three attempts from eight yeards. (And is taken from a HUGE sample size of him evidencing incredibly poor finishing).
  4. I'm so excited to see what Villa look like after six weeks in The Unaiversity! After last seasons mini break with Gerrard at Spring, and then the entire pre-season, we came back multiple times worse. Given what Emery achieved after three days, six weeks could be monumental for us.
  5. Let it go Sid. I've tried too. It's impossible. Talksport is gospel, twitter rumours are fact and assumptions are guarantees. If people want to believe absolute fiction as fact, so be it. We've fought a good fight my friend.
  6. Why should we know? Did you demand the same when Bruce stunk up the place? Or Di Matteo? I agree absolutely that he made going to VP a horrendous experience, the board took a risk and it didn't work. But this talk of demanding explanations is just weird.
  7. He was so very clearly joking. He's also very excited about the game today and a little high on hope. (See his previous post). Not everything needs to be taken at the lazy stereotype level. UTV.
  8. You can have my vote. I'm a Claret Club Member and haven't voted yet. I'm not remotely bothered about the crest, so let me know which you prefer and I'll vote for you today. @Junxs.
  9. This. If someone who does find it funny, could explain to me what they find funny about it, I'd really appreciate it.
  10. I've just had an email from Villa that as a Claret Club member, I'll be getting some Unai content very soon! Viva La Emerlution!
  11. Maybe, just maybe... Villa hire Gerrard. Villa utilise Gerrard's name and stature in the game to bring in Coutinho, Digne, Carlos and Kamara. Who many people have said we wouldn't have been able to sign without him. Villa sack Gerrard as he's a truly terrible manager, but have already utilised his main strength, his abiilty to bring players in. Villa hire Emery, a proven winner and exceptional manager, who is now more keen to coach Villa due to the higher calibre of players and utilise him to bring the best out of the excellent players Villa brought in, due to Gerrard's name. This is a mother **** masterplan!
  12. Just listened to his reasoning behind the move. It's a little batshitkray. Arrogance is probably too strong a word, but the assumption that people want to buy him and his producers a pint a month is a bit weird. Quitting his job, and then supporting his family and paying a mortgage through running a full time Villa channel, that isn't on YouTube and new people can't find, is risky at best. Good luck to him.
  13. I wonder if some / all of the young players on loan will be recalled in January so Emery and the new coaches can have a proper look at them?
  14. And Monday at 2004 we've appointed Unai Emery. Scenes.
  15. Our own fans, in this thread have made that same shit "joke". I really hope it stops / Mods do something about it.
  16. But, but, but... the villa board were in complete chaos, no one was lined up, they're complete amateurs, sack them all! Perhaps some people will not believe everything they read in the press and show some faith. (Never gonna happen).
  17. What was he redeeming himself from?
  18. This. Always this. A million times, this.
  19. What's most exciting, is that the team that played today is missing Digne, Kamara and Carlos. For the new manager, whoever it may be, with the squad we currently have and the financial backing they'll be given, it's a truly brilliant project to be a part of. (Also, 41,000 there today - our fans are absolutely brilliant)
  20. He is an abomination when finishing. But works harder than I think I've seen someone work. He cannot play up front, but when playing against a team who will have lots of possession he's a useful outlet.
  21. I think this is probably true. What an unbelievable shout. We have had so many tragically, epically shit managers. To be that bad is astonishing. But true.
