  1. Disappointed to see Danny leave, good professional always gave 100%.We must have someone lined up…
  2. i was watching Emi before the game yesterday in the tunnel and he was having a nice little conversation and a laugh with the ref before the game, he knows what he is doing.
  3. The thing for me is the team will only get better and better in their performances.
  4. Its funny how many football watchers are complaining about the time wasting, yet totally overlooking the world class save in the first half.
  5. Not sure what the future holds with Kamara, hopefully we can meet his ambitions moving forward. I'm just going to enjoy watching a special talent.
  6. Just watched his first interview through the club, comes across as a competitor, looking forward to seeing him play and how Emery uses him.
  7. Disappointed to see him leaving as always thought he was a very good player and will show it again at Montpellier. I don’t buy the poor trainer etc as it would have come up at his previous club. IMO some players at Villa are like Teflon and we’re selected whether they put in good or bad performances and more reflective of both previous managers. I wish him well and look forward to him getting his career back on track.

    Who can go?

(Keep) Kamara, Luiz, McGinn, Martinez, Ramsey, Carlos, Mings, Konsa (back up), Ings.... I'm struggling with the rest, maybe Cash.
  9. I’m not blaming the manager, he’s been giving these players the opportunity to show their worth, today they let him down through poor mentality and not being at it the full 90min. Was the team selection a mistake, maybe, he could have gone best 11 and killed off the game early, but he gave these fringe players a chance to prove themselves, and they let him down. Im disappointed, but now Emery may actually pull the trigger on some of these frauds.
  10. Or Southgate will be ringing him and warning him of the consequences of the move…

    Unai Emery

I’m not worried, he would have been more focussed on the shape and the tactics, the outcome and goals would have been secondary.
  12. You lost me with the sportsmanship angle. Was his pelvic thrusts childish, yes, but sometimes people revert back to childish behaviour when as children we dreamt of these moments. He is one of the main reasons Argentina were in the final and won the World Cup. Most pundits have glossed over it becuase he’s not at a Real Madrid or other. But he made bid saves in important times through the tournament and won two matches on penalties including the final. Most people want to sit back and criticise his antics, which for all purposes are a release of the tension from the psychological level he was at to save those penalties. I get it that people don’t like it, but they will never be in that moment and be judged by their actions.
  13. Well done Emi, he played a huge part in the knockout stages for Argentina to be holding aloft the Would Cup.
  14. The theory behind it is that when you run/sprint you can put up to 10/12 times your body weight in force into the ground, so Carlos who is probably 85kg could put up to 1000kg of force into the ground. With the type of injury, the machine reduces the force (weight on legs as above) to take the pressure of the legs. They then slowly over a few weeks build the force back up to 100% to get the adaptation on the athlete.
  15. While I don’t think it will happen, it’s obvious they want to sell him. Apparently we had interest in Cunha, maybe Felix is the one they need to sell, Spanish manager, maybe there’s discussions. Chelsea and ManUtd still don’t have their houses in order and questions around their managers. There are some players out there who still want to play football, maybe the lad needs a step back, he’s still young and can move onto a CL team should we not make Europe. But it’s unlikely to happen…
  16. It was mate, it’s the only thing that makes it a little easier to take.
  17. Not if your Australian. First time ever I was hoping he wouldn’t save a goal.
  18. Beale won’t know what hit him up against Postecoglu.
  19. I think you’ll find it’s more their paying a price for their success last season and aren’t meeting the same standards this season. They’ll be better in the new year.
  20. Considering what Emery has done in the limited time he’s had with the squad, Coutinho deserves the same opportunity. I don’t expect to see the player who was at Liverpool, but if we get the 80-90% of that player, he’ll make us a better team.
  21. I’m not quite ready to write Coutinho off just yet. Considering most of our players looked ordinary under Gerrard, maybe Emery can get him to do a job for the team.
  22. West Spam went undefeated in the Conference league so don’t think their going that badly, may just be struggling with the two games a week this season. Moyes will get them away from trouble in the new year.

    Unai Emery

You may well be right in some cases. I have noticed with a couple of pundits however since the previous managers dismissal, when questioning the players they seemed to forget what the dressings rooms were like when they played and the manager was sacked. In Sutton’s case, I remember listening to a pod where he recommended a player to Gerrard to sign during the off season from Italy, which suggests they are mates, hence his comments appear biased to say the least.

    Time Wasting

I don’t have a problem with it, just thought we went way over the top with it today.
  25. Craig Bellamy, Dion Dublin, Chris Sutton, Steve Bruce….
