  1. It'll be 5-0 India. Save your sleep. Their spinners are so much better than ours. We also had no warm up matches at all.
  2. Shame to see Draper and Raducanu both out. Think, another month or so and maybe both win their games, Emma at least. Physically nearly there but was hanging on and in pure fight mode at the end. But pretty encouraging in other respects. Meanwhile Blinkova knocks out Rybakina with a 22-20 tie break decider God that would be incredibly tense.
  3. Saltburn - WTF was that about. Some seriously gross scenes and god just a house where you want everyone to be blown to smithereens. Different, but not a film I have inclination to watch again. 2 hours in the company of that **** psycho and the others was quite enough
  4. Nah, I'm pretty sure he'll quit this year, I think the disillusionment is seeping in re his performances. He was so flat in his defeat. He won't tolerate much more of that. If he doesn't have a significant improvement in results, I can see him calling it a day at Wimbledon this year. If Jack Draper avoids all those injury, cramp issues that plagued him last year, he's going to shoot up the rankings, be a top 20 player come the end of the year I'd have thought.
  5. Rosalind Franklin, a chemist who did plenty of work to discover structure of DNA, but went largely unrecognised for her work. See also: The women whom science forgot - BBC News
  6. Cold weather actually woke me this morning. So cold it gave me a headache. Piss off. If it's going to be cold have the decency to bring a mountain's worth of snow with you.
  7. Flying over for photos etc surely bit of a tour, meet some people but then he'll fly back I'd have thought. Otherwise why recall Kessler Hayden
  8. Luiz and Kamara ought to be going nowhere. Same with Mcginn. If we end up having to sell main players, then Bailey, Digne, Cash are options to move on in the summer. Though I doubt we'll sell Bailey. Digne and Cash most likely in the summer along with Dendonker. Then getting these value free transfer moneyballing options through Monchi I guess as replacements.
  9. I did watch Gladiators for the nostalgia factor. But not anymore. Quite obviously, it's one thing being enthrall to it when you're 10, and quite another nearly 30 years later. Unwatchable One and done. Slow Horses season 3 was great, and just enjoyed Hijack, both on Apple. Though the latter decided to just end the show with things not entirely wrapped up which was annoying, really was like they'd randomly cut out the 10 minutes you'd expect to still be seeing at the point it finished.
  10. Terrible officials, pretty dull game. Its an away point. We need to hope we can improve creatively in games like this. We had chances but so did they so fair result overall. Now go have a holiday for a few days and rest!
  11. 12 days to to the next game, plenty of time for him ( and Pau ) to recover more fully. And even then, that's a cup game so, if they're going to take time with the niggles, let it be now.
  12. Yeah city are going to win at a canter. They'll do their win 15 in a row shtick again which is insane. **** the cheating words removed though. We will do very well to repeat our first half results. That would get us to c80 points. At this point, until or unless proven differently, we'll end up on 75 ish. Still an excellent total though
  13. Technically, sure which is amazing, but I'm happy to focus on finishing top 4 for now. If we're still there in a couple of months time then dare to dream, but game by game I'm looking at how spurs and arsenal are doing
  14. Friday not too bad, gives us the extra day then to the Newcastle game. And shittier for Chelsea who play on the Tuesday beforehand with their League Cup game
  15. fulham wasted 3 great chances now
  16. Belatedly saw John Wick 4 the other day. Mostly good fun but far too long for, lop a good half hour or more of that and it would have been excellent, but found it dragged a bit, either a fight scene that was just that bit too long or the ceremonial stuff in between often felt a bit indulgent. But the set pieces were as terrifically choreographed as the previous films though
  17. Outrageous homophobia from the Guardian today ( sorry)
  18. right decision but an embarrassment for VAR considering it was the tv officials with all the extra time who made the ref send him off
  19. Positives of the draw is that it's a good game for a couple of the back ups who end up playing, we know we'd have to be switched on to play well, might be good for performance momentum? But if we do lose, no-one's going to say oh what a disaster. We've got a full 2 weeks off after the everton game, so at worst the cup match gives us some competitive minutes before the Newcastle game. I hasten to add, i would have preferred Maidstone at home, but just focusing on the postive ways of approaching the tie
  20. 18? Disgraceful I say. Should be 2 ( or 3 I suppose now thanks to 'AFC' Bournemouth)
  21. The club are pretty good at keeping a tight lid on things these days. Of we sign someone good chance it will.be completely out of the blue.
  22. I won't be surprised if we don't buy anyone. Tough market and Emery likes working with a contained squad. If we shift a couple of players we'll need to have replacement bodies though. Will wait and see. We do have Ramsey becoming a midfield option again at least and Moreno has his fitness back. Plus we might get Buendia back for the last 2 months. Maybe Tim O can be a bench player. Or that Kellyman fella I'm not saying doing nothing is great, just that I won't be too surprised if that's the case. If we can level up donk and bertie then great.
  23. No replay and a 3rd round win:o Got through. Squad back ups still not good enough though. Job just about done. Home tie v Maidstone please
