  1. All change. Its a bit tedious if we do lose but ultimately not a disaster. Every chance AZ help us out anyway. Rest as many key players as we can: Mcginn, Luiz, Watkins, Konsa, Martinez should be rested at least.
  2. FAO of Xmas film lovers. Your Christmas or Mine 2 is f**king shite. I mean expectations were low after a decidedly average ( at generous best ) first one last year, this one is as funny as cat poo in your face.
  3. It's funny, most of the time I am happy to avoid all forms of social awkward situations but going for walks is one area I'd appreciate and enjoy coming across gregarious folk. But it might just be preferring that to the next uphill clamber. But I think that is falling into the its OK to chat territory already delineated above. There's a passive aggressive part of me that just wants to stand directly in the path of feckers who are obstinately refusing to look up from their phones. Why should I always have to move because you're a smartphone addict arsehole?
  4. I wouldn't take a draw before kick off but equally if that ends the case it'll be a solid result indeed. Excited. Just hope the concern over emptying the tank loses out to the momentum argument. Hopefully it being another big game works in our favour
  5. Watched Decision to Leave, the Korean film from last year, hypnotic to watch with some lovely visual touches, but found the central theme of the film didn't land with me as I might have expected. By the starkest of contrasts, currently watching Your Christmas or Mine 2, which is predictably abysmal
  6. lovely win for everton incoming. 6 point buffer to Newcastle, barring everton screwing it up. Good bonus that.
  7. **** hell. **** hell. **** ing hell. Superb all round. I was sceptical, and now chuffed to bits. Absolutely dominated them. A 2nd or 3rd wouldn't have been unfair.
  8. He'll get league starts over the next month I'd have thought. But he'll have known joining on loan he wasn't first choice surely
  9. I'd take a draw easily. Not losing is a great outcome. I fear a heavy loss
  10. yes betting companies will have them clear favourites still. 2 or 3-0 to them would seem most likely. They will punish our defences properly. We can get a draw but we need some luck to help us out. But at least we are generally a bit better at home.
  11. Winning run at home going to come to an end but we can get something from the game. Hopefully Kamara is refreshed to play a big role again.
  12. A draw we didn't really deserve. Take that but really worried how poor our away performances are. We were lucky against spurs l, we could have been 3-0 down at half time, poor v forest, very Newcastle and Liverpool. We don't look confident or secure at all. Tiredness? Perhaps. Hopefully moreno and Ramsey coming back helps us rotate more
  13. Defeats to city and arsenal following this. Need more players in January
  14. Fair. But I'm just a sweary fella and point stands at point of post. Delighted we've turned it around so quickly though.
  15. I am **** fed up of these shitty starts. When we ever **** learn. For once away from home can we not be **** useless for **** sake
  16. boro away - happy with that, tough enough to avoid complacency but confident we can win that one.
  17. I hope the frustration of the forest game guards against complacency but we need to start well for a change. Too often in away games we are under the kosh and offer up early opportunities. If they score like forest did then we will struggle but if we get on top early we will be fine.
  18. Home draw but this time with a manager who knows who he can and can't trust we should be fine. The stevenage debacle and then the Everton **** up this year means we know dendonker or Chambers won't be available to screw it up this time. I want a cup run please
  19. it's just a blinking hypothetical with absolutely zero influence on what we will actually do. You seem inordinately concerned that the casual preference of something irrelevant will somehow transmit itself into the fortunes of the club's footballing results. Anything, you I or anyone else says or does has no affect whatsoever on how well we do under Unai. I can understand why people prefer CL, I can see that argument but it comes across, perhaps its just posting style, I dunno, as if you're genuinely really annoyed that people think differently to you, that not everyone is worshiping at the financial altar of champions league football. Like unless everyone subscribes to this hyper-"rational" argument, of what is technically the choice that leads to some idea of an "objective" best outcome, they are somehow almost traitors for not supporting it with the same level of ferocious engagement. It is just a game, or at least, it should be just a game, and it's been gradually ruined over time through an obsession with money, coupled with a fairly malignant whipping up of tribal sentiments so that fans are psychotically wound up with the fate of a business entity. I and pretty much everyone else at various points have been worked up far too much by this obsession to unhealthy degrees. The money, the politics and imbalances of power are all only aligning for the interests of a few very rich stakeholders. I don't give a damn whether we appeal to some rich feckers the other side of the world. If we do well I guess all that comes anyway, but putting that as the front and centre is a bit of a sad way of looking at it. I'd rather bin off following football entirely if that's the way we're supposed to engage with football according to "Logic". We're ( an idealistic notion I know ) an English football club playing in the English premier league. I like the cup competitions. Winning one of those competitions means something to me. Europe is fun, and exotic sure, but it's an add on, it has prestige, I'm delighted to have Rotterdam on our honours board and if anyone can do that for us it's Unai, but meh, if "all" we do over the next 5 years is win a couple of domestic cups I'll be delighted to have enjoyed those moments. "
  20. Oppenheimer Barbie Rye Lane GotG 3 Mission Impossible 7 (1) Robot Dreams -- Bank of Dave The Miracle Club More than I remembered initially from 2023 it seems. Robot Dreams was an LFF animated one. Quite charming really, if a little too long.
  21. You seem to be under the misunderstanding I wouldn't be happy with CL? I would. I'm just not obssessed with the bottom line, get as rich and as powerful as quickly as possible even if we win **** all in the process. Everything is transient, nothing lasts forever, even if we spent a few years in the CL, that'll go, teams wax and wane unless they're bankrolled by a state. And you find it mental to take a cup win? There's more to life than money, just for the spreadsheet afficianado's among you
  22. where did leicester get in the champions league. Can anyone remember. Does anyone care? They got relegated two years later. But the trophies are still there.
