Thanks for the invite but I'll pass. I barely bother to manage my PL-fantasy team so I doubt I'd be much better at this.

Best of luck to everyone and don't pick and Hornets players :D

Go on! I found this much more engaging than FPL last season and that was in a league of complete randoms. Plus you get to follow players that aren't Hornets.

Yes, this isn't an elite Chelsea of old but, it is still Chelsea away with many expensive international players in their side.

Across the players that played yesterday, ours had more combined international caps. Seven of our players had 20+ caps compared just three of theirs, Silva (113), Sterling (82) and Caicedo (34) who between them were over 70% of their combined caps. We played three uncapped players to their four.

This is not the same Chelsea, and the result didn't surprise me at all. Across the board we have the more experienced players, both in the PL and internationally. We have by far the better form in the short and medium term. We have the more successful manager. The hype that Chelsea have been getting from all corners coming into this season always felt way off to me and so far the hype is looking as unwarranted as I thought it was. We didn't even need to be good yesterday to come away with all three points.

Can't argue they don't have the more expensive side, but that means nothing right now when they've paid so heavy for potential.

I will if it's on Yahoo Fantasy, since I already play Fantasy NFL there.

I just can't be bothered having to log in to espn or whatever every week too 🤣

    Otherwise, have a great season!

Yep the yahoo one is the one I did last year. I’ve got a league set up, will post details later for people to join.

So then, does the ultras block have hospitality in it or is it a conscious effort to get all like minded chant-obsessed fans in the same place using the cheapest GE tickets available?  In any case, sounds like a change they made to help the atmosphere.

A section of tickets are put aside specifically for members of the group is what I’ve read. And also Arteta himself pushed the club to do this.

Man City and Arsenal are infamous libraries with their atmosphere.

From what I can tell Arsenal's has dramatically improved with Arteta and the club both vocally and practically supporting the ultra-like fan group that was set up a few years back, assisting them in congregating in one block, funding banners, etc.

  6. Who’s up for this?

I did a random public league last season and thought it was great. Actually stuck with it all last season whereas gave up on FPL about mid season.

So thought would be worth seeing if anyone on VT was up for a private league this time round.

There was rumour a couple of weeks back on twitter that it might be open for the Brighton game, but just a whisper and I've seen nothing since.

What it opens as is anyone's guess - I'd love to think the club will have learned some lessons from the Terrace View.

Another question for Saturday's meeting, perhaps?

You used to be able to get 3 years worth of Game Pass Ultimate for like £100-150. Can't remember how much exactly now. Not sure if it's still possible though.

Pretty much you'd buy 3 years of Xbox Live Gold and add it to your account. Then buy 1 month of Game Pass Ultimate and it would convert all the Xbox Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate for 3 years.

It was when I last did it earlier this year I think. Was about £76 total for 3 years.

There is no striker within our reach that will be an improvement on Watkins.

On the bloke who sits behind me at VP's sell list though, lol. Was fun listening to that nonsense for most of Sunday's game.

The food is unfortunately poor still in the stadium, the quality from the external caterers is much much better and I quite like the fan zones. Would be great to see them expanded with more options. During the winter, would the club consider letting the street food caterers come into the stadium?

They already do this, don't they? Pietanic in the Holte (and Trinity I think), Yardbirds in the Trinity (if they could get them in the Holte too would be great)
