  1. Just been casa italia to celebrate my new job. Then tomorrow I'm helping my old man and his bud relay his drive, should be hard labour. Then on Sunday, sports relief 6 mile run (I aim to run half) provided I'm not completely disabled from the last week and Saturday :-)
  2. So I'm interviewing for a job at the moment and I've been invited for a third (3rd!!) Interview! It was only meant to be 2 interviews but apparently it's now down to me and one other person. I asked the agent if there's anything else I should have said during the interview, but the guy leading the interview told her I did great, communicated well and would fit into the organisation. Then hw said there's nothing more I can do, and to do the same in the next interview... It's great news, but now im wondering what the next one is going to be about. I was in the laat interview for 1 hour 20 minutes!
  3. Not seen this thread before, which is weird because I was round my mom's last night for tea, with my grandad too. So mom passes me this little plastic folder and explains that my grandads uncle was killed on November 5th 1916 at roughly 11am. It had his death certificate, along with a really detailed version of events, including all of his companies officers field diary notes. He was in the Worcestershire 2nd and the document starts from the company's beginnings to the end of them all. It was incredibly interesting and I even shed a few tears towards the end. The conditions described in the officers notes were just unimaginable to me, 21 year old blokes crawling over thigh high mud to a small ridge, knowing as soon as they went over the top, they'd be sprayed with machine gun fire... just to get to a ridge. It was in the somme region and he was attacking a trench called bontazki or something similar. They were on the west side of this long line of german trenches, who were dug in deeply, whilst the french soilders were along the east side and much further pushed up. So the commanding officer was forced to literally run into no mans land to keep up with the french. It wascbasically suicide and the Worcestershire 2nd lost over 300 men, including my great grand uncle. I'm very proud to say that eventually, they did take the trench.
  4. After an awesome weekend doing an orienteering course in the lake district and climbing a wainwright yesterday, I'm now watching bargain hunt.. what a come down...
  5. Those **** ronaldo stats... jesus christ...
  6. We need a vic and bob style 'handbags oooooooh' pic.. lol
  7. In my last job, I was working almost exclusively for bham city council doing energy certificates. Lets say that sooner rather than later, they wont have many public leisure centres, libraries and a lot of schools are being left in a state of disrepair. One school in particular in south Birmingham is basically not safe because it has a roof of asbestos that is caving in. There are a lot of schools which are turning into academies because they think the services of the city are so poor and bcc have many, many satellite offices which are being closed down. They are more or less stone cold broke and are in fact in a huge amount of trouble. They'll have to split up eventually, because being the largest council in Europe is simply not working.
  8. I'm sure if Lambert drops a headbutt on Bassong today you'll be in the Lambert thread singing his praises for being interesting then?Get a grip. There are people on this very site who are happy to see some of our own players break a leg. That is what I think is a disgrace. Pardew barely touched him with his head. I think it is funny and stupid, but mostly the reaction of some people calling for jail time and worse...Get a grip?! Bit random. The point I was making was if Lambert did it, you and many others would use it as a stick to beat him with (rightly so in this case in my opinion) You're implying in this thread that there's nothing in the headbutt. Whilst I don't agree, that's fair enough. And you're also implying that you'd like Lambert to be a bit more like that. Am I wrong? Yet we all know if that had been Lambert headbutting an opposition player there's no way you'd be complimenting him for it! You don't know me. Don't speculate on ifs and buts. You realise this is a discussion forum right? We don't need to know you personally to speculate on your opinion. If Stevo is wrong, say why. Discuss. If you don't want to discuss then this probably isn't the place for you. No, I didn't realize this was a discussion forum. Thank you for opening my mind! No one knows anything about my opinion on a speculative situation that may or may not occur. That is a fact. If this is a discussion forum, discuss your own opinions, not what I may or may not have an opinion on about something that has not happened and maybe never will happen. Maybe you should get lost, not me. You two should have a fight, just so we know who's the best.

  11. Sol Camobell is racist for making these claims. He's making me feel ashamed for being white. Not really, but whar a word removed. He has to drum up conspiracy like this because let's face it, who the **** cares about Sol Campbell?

  14. I lost my job in january. For the next two weeks after that (it came completely out of the blue) I was really bad. Upset, angry, confused, bitter and I didn't trust anyone. But I'm generally quite an optimistic person and I've gotten myself out of it. But I was completely aware that I was depressed. And I feel for the people whom it becomes everyday life for. Not nice at all. I think in this day in age, with the pressures of having to work, having direct debits, mortgages, loans, education and being constantly told to 'future proof' yourself, the system doesn't give us qny time to slow down and take stock of whether we as individuals are happy. And due to technology we're living increasingly individual lifes and we cant escape work because we all get emails and texts and called wherever we are. And then we get a paltry 28 days holiday a year... thanks lol. I totally get why people get depressed. It's **** easy to this day in age.
