  1. Fully agree. In my eyes, he was very highly rated but he hadn't really done anything at PL level to warrant pushing for a move. It remains to be seen how he will develop now at Chelsea, but I maintain that a few more years at Villa would have been best for him. We move on.
  2. The scene in Bohemian Rhapsody where "Roger" is being told to sing higher when recording BR, then in the following take he's singing the same notes that he was singing before.
  3. Not yet, but I hope to be at some point (would ideally like the Neural DSP Quad Cortex but it's way too pricey). I was only discussing this with someone the other day - I think I'm over the valve amp + big pedalboard thing. I was getting all my gear together the other day and I just can't be arsed lugging that much stuff around any more. Amp modelling has come on leaps and bounds the past few years to the point that the difference is pretty much negligible to most ears. I'm about ready to sell my amps and pedals, get a Helix and an FRFR cab and never need anything else ever again (he says....)
  4. I'm past that point now. Let them marinate.
  5. I've gotten so much washing done.
  6. I agree. However, I raise you the Morrisons Best Spicy Milano Salami & 'Nduja pizza. Game changer.
  7. I would say so. It does tend to go the way that most open world games do whereby the many side missions can take you away from it a bit, but there's a very strong (if slightly confusing) story. I was a little apprehensive about the magic stuff at first too, as I'm not really into that stuff, but it kinda feels more like a shooter in that it's pretty straightforward. Which is good, as I think it let's you focus on exploring the world a bit more rather than trying to figure out a million different magic combinations.
  8. Finished off Sifu, have now spent a few hours on Ghostwire: Tokyo. Really enjoying it so far. I can see myself loving this for similar reasons that I love Ghost of Tsushima so much. Nothing particularly groundbreaking about it, but the aesthetic is brilliant. Wandering around an abandoned Tokyo is awesome. As someone who is really into Japanese culture, I think I'll be chasing the Platinum on this one.
  9. Shane Long was released by Southampton this off season. Completely forgot he still played for them.
  10. Nearly finished Sifu. It's bloody difficult (having recently finished Elden Ring, I thought I was going to be playing something easy - Obviously didn't do my research...). Very impressive though. The combat system is excellent.
  11. 276 was fun. Lawler v Barbarena was a good old fashioned slug fest. Was surprised it got out of the first round. Pereira looks like he could be a problem at MW. Volk is just too far ahead of the rest of the division. Was better than Holloway in literally every department. Will be interesting to see him move up to LW (though I think Oliveira's BJJ will get the better of him). Similar thing with Izzy, he's just miles ahead of the other challengers right now (pending Pereira). Issue is that his last few fights, while technically brilliant, have been pretty boring. I wonder whether he'll have another bash at LHW...
  12. Scratch that....I won't be dipping in and out of it again. Installed Sifu last night and the update file was corrupted and forced my PS5 into a factory reset. Thought I'd be okay, seeing as I have PS Plus, but I loaded my cloud save and for some reason the most recent sync was back when I was level 91 at the Mountaintops of the Giants . Safe to say, I can't be arsed doing all of that again. Spare a thought for my missus though, who doesn't have PS Plus and has therefore lost 88 hours worth of progress....
  13. Finally finished this today. I'd sunk so many hours into it, I was kinda ready for it to be over at this point. There's still plenty of things I want to go back and do, and I fully expect that I'll be dipping in and out of the game every now and then for a while yet. I just have so many other games in the queue that I want to play that I wanted to get the story done so I could move onto something else. All that said, what a **** game that was.
  14. Why is there always some clearing in the woods who walks too close to the revolving glass door at the QE and makes it stop? I'm praying that, one day, said clearing in the woods carries on walking and face plants it.
  15. Got the new Porcupine Tree, Alexisonfire and Coheed & Cambria albums to get stuck into today. Lovely.
  16. Funnily enough, while I was at Uni pretty much all the guitarists were told "get a Strat", due to the versatility. I do have one, but I've always found my Tele to be way more versatile.
  17. Love Prochazka so I was dead chuffed to see him win that fight. Gotta feel for Texeira though, was 30 seconds away from keeping his belt.
  18. The Artist on the bottom is a beauty. Never really been into the Jems personally but I can see why people buy them for sure. I really wanted the Scott LePage signature initially but, lo and behold, no lefty available
  19. It was an odd one. I was on a huge Mars Volta hype and wanted to sound like Omar. Not the most versatile guitar but it's definitely got a real coolness about it. I think they're more expensive second hand now than they were brand new - wish I'd have kept hold of it for a bit longer now!
  20. Yeah its a right pain in the arse. The most annoying thing is not being able to try before you buy, since a lot of companies don't stock a huge range actually in store. I end up having to do lots of research and then buy it online and hope that I'm gonna like how it feels.
  21. Yeah I think this is where I was coming from. I've never had any desire to clean my wheelie bin. Unless some amalgamation of meat juices spills inside it, and maybe the wheelie bin was sat in the garden and therefore stinking it up, maybe I'd clean it.
