  1. YES LEON! Although he wasn't as busy as I thought he'd be, I thought his gameplan was perfect. Nullified pretty much everything Usman threw at him. His takedown defence was phenomenal. It's annoying that Dana has said that Colby gets the title shot though, considering that he hasn't fought in what feels like forever (and he's a monumental clearing in the woods anyway). As expected, Gaethje v Fiziev FOTN. Incredible fight.
  2. Not for the squeamish...
  3. Gane looked like a deer in the headlights. I think the occasion got to him. Still, to come back and win like that after 3 years and in a different division is impressive. I'm not really sure what other HW is going to give him much of a problem. Pavlovich is on his way up, but it sounds like it's Jones v Miocic next. Brilliant win for Grasso too!
  4. Can someone please leave one in on Zaha? Seems only fair...
  5. The problem with boxing is that there's too many organisations that make the whole thing way too convoluted. It's also one of the main reasons why it's so difficult to make the big fights happen, no matter how much the public want to see it. The thing about MMA is that most people would agree that the UFC is the highest level organisation, so if you want to see the top athletes, you watch the UFC. It's much easier for people who are new to the sport.
  6. The only thing that surprised me was the fact that one of the judges somehow scored it for Paul. I've seen a lot of people saying how well he did because he hung in there with a pro boxer for 8 rounds, but it really wasn't close at all (and Tommy Fury isn't a very good boxer). It just proves what we already knew - Tommy Fury still isn't really very good, and Jake Paul got dismantled when he finally fought an actual boxer. At least we know his level now, and I'm sure he'll go back to fighting older MMA fighters or Youtubers (unless he takes the rematch, which I'd advise against tbh).
  7. First actual boxer he faces (and not a very good one) and he gets schooled. At least everyone knows his level now.
  8. I won't be watching, but I'm mildly interested in the outcome. I'm hoping that Fury obliterates him and sends him back to fighting to Youtubers. If Jake Paul does win, all it will do is give us some idea as to what his level is right now as an actual boxer. Either way, whoever loses will likely kiss goodbye to their pro boxing career.
  9. Good luck! I've seen the clips from their shows last year and they sounded great. Best Cedric has sounded for years.
  10. Got tickets to see The Mars Volta in June. Never got to see them before the hiatus so buzzing for this one.
  11. Has anyone had any issues with this? My missus is playing it, and every now and then it crashes and completely shuts down the PS5, which won't turn back on again unless I turn the plug off and on again (obviously, not good for the PlayStation as it's happened about 10 times now). It's not a hardware issue as it doesn't happen with any other game/application. I've seen a fair few people posting the same issue on reddit.
  12. Oh well. At least we're not cheating, corrupt, hypocritical, entitled scum.
  13. This doesn't even feel like a competitive game. Even down to the commentary.
  14. I swear that Yorkshire Tea teabags aren't as strong as the used to be. I normally have the whole "separating teabags" business down to a tee (lol), but I've ripped 3 of the bastards this week.
  15. Funnily enough, at the weekend I was at a fancy dress party and thought it would be funny to go as Fred Durst. The odd thing was that I managed to get the oversized T-shirt and baggy cargo trousers from ASOS, which would suggest that this stuff is back in fashion again.
  16. Didn't realise Idrissa Gueye is back at Everton - must have missed that one. Looking increasingly likely that he'll have another relegation on his CV...
  17. It really is frustrating how difficult we make it against teams that we should be beating.
  18. I can see it being quite uneventful. Usman knows what Leon is capable of on the feet, so he won't want to take that risk again. Like you said, it'll likely be 5 rounds of wrestling. Hopefully Leon has been working on nothing but takedown defence....
  19. Crumpets coming in packs of 9 when literally everyone has 2 at a time.
  20. Well, this aged well Jones vs Gane for UFC 285 confirmed. Ngannou released from his contract. Not sure I agree with Jones getting an immediate title shot after 3 years out, but I can't say I'm surprised. It's a shame we'll never get Jones v Ngannou now - seems Francis was dead set on leaving (from what we know so far).
