  1. I'd just woken up, for some reason I thought those were how many minutes per contributions and it was higher so worse. Forgive me CVB
  2. Which one is this season? 0.68 would make it his second worst. 0.55 would make it his best.
  3. To be fair, he wasn't very good the first few games and then an injury that was initially described as an 8 week absence would've set a few alarms off for those worried about the age. For me, Digne wasn't the problem it was losing the competition we finally had at LB by losing Targett. Looks like a good moe for Digne though, hopefully we get that competition in the summer from either Hickey or Chrisene or someone
  4. Thread makes me sad because it's so negative but I don't disagree with it
  5. But the wording is he is 'being' moved on. As in, not his call.
  6. It's £33m, I see your point but let's not inflate the price by nearly 20%
  7. Honestly, he's **** class. The abuse he got at the start of the season and the disrespect [it appears] he's been shown by Gerrard in recent weeks since Coutinho joined. (and by some fans at the start of the season) have been well and truly shown to be ridiculous. What a player. I'm so glad we have him in Claret & Blue
  8. I'm so disappointed in Ezri. Every player goes through bad form. His has come at such a bad time though, Gerrards itching to get new players in at CB and hes going to play himself out of a starting spot that shouldn't have been up for debate. When Chambers was signed permanently over real, true competition for Ezri's place - he should've been able to be starter for years. Chambers is better than we all expected for £0-3m but he wasn't really expected to challenge for a start. It's not like we thought we'd signed a true quality CB thay should unseat Konsa. Going into bad form as a new manager joins and looking like half the player he's capable of being though is going to come back and bite him on the ass. And it's going to cost us money we don't really need to (or atleast, shouldn't really need to) spend.
  9. I'd all but given up hope of him signing but getting minutes ahead of Iroegbunam today has reeled me back in.
  10. Man's an 8 and we're going to live to regret we wasted him as a 6 for 3 years and sold him for £25m
  11. Actually yeah I remember that, 40m is more mental too. Crazy. Maybe £25m was a 'what if we could get him for that?' Puts Coutinho into context too. £33m for Coutinho, even if inconsistent is a potential steal in this market. As long as Gerrard manages it properly and doesn't just play him regardless of form. Him playing Buendia today gives me hope he could get it right more often next year.
  12. Question in this Burnley side for him will always be - is it lack of opportunity and movement ahead of him (created by their style) meaning he has to take a lot of pot shots as he's doubled up on? Or is it that he's the only sort-of creative outlet in an atrocious attacking side and gets over valued as a result and won't actually ever be an important part of an attacking unit in the Prem I think it's more the latter. The £25m valuations when we were interested in the summer were stupid. But I suppose he'll always be a tad unknown until Burnley change their style or he moves somewhere that allow him to do more
  13. Ming's was rightly furious. He did so well too and then made an instant mess of it in a way he just never would have at the start of last season and end of the season before. I just don't get it. It's not like it's bad form it's just mental positioning and decision making that weren't parts of his game before.
  14. A glimpse of 2020/21 Konsa immediately replaced by 2022 Konsa
  15. Playing your best and most in form players seems to result in better football
  16. So do we think Chambers is playing DM or we gone 3 at the back?
  17. Weird decision but for a long time we thought KMac was incredible in that role too. We don't get to see everything
  18. With Ramsey out I Think we could see Tim at DM with McGinn and Luiz ahead of him. Or perhaps Nakamba back in the XI. I think Chuk gets minutes but can't see him.getting a start
  19. Back and available according to Preece
  20. Chelsea were one of the quickest to drop from the ESL, whether true or not they basically said they only went as it was happening with or without them and so they kind of had to tag along but they dropped it pretty quick. I imagine the others would absolutely take them vanishing and having somebody more 'on side' in their corner.
  21. That's Josh McEachran, was the poster boy for how Chelseas loan system could screw up a career as he was meant to be one of the best misfielders of his generation. May be unfair on Chelsea though as looking back, he had 5 loans in 3 seasons. Maybe times have changed but we loaned Barry and Kesler twice this season and so it could easily be that the same could happen with them or our other players if they start getting loans at 18/19 (like McEachran was) but not quite ready for the step up. Also like you say, was hyped through Football Manager too
  22. It'd be great if we got that fee down a bit. If we got it to £20-25m we couldn't really debate the transfer anymore even if he's inconsistent. Realistically a young English talent would cost a minimum of the same amount and probably a lot more if they're as talented. (ESR rejected at £35m). And the likelihood that somebody coming in for £20-25m that's up and coming from abroad may well need 6months + to adapt and settle into the league; whereas we've already done that with Coutinho. It would then be up to Gerrard to manage him correctly and not throw him in 90mins every game and ensure he manages Buendia and Coutinho well enough to get the best out of them. That's where my concerns are. But we have to trust Gerrard to do his job and get the best value for the club. So if that fee comes down, it's a no brainer to make it permanent.
