Southampton deserve our respect, they were above us in the league before today. I am delighted we got a win. Yup the football was boring, low risk and pragmatic. Just what we need right now. I may be back to shouting for Gerrards sacking in a few games but it would be churlish of me to do so after a win. I am pleased.

IMHO Trevor Sinclair should be fired for being a crappy football pundit but not for this. My expectation pre seasons start was we would be winning / drawing all those games except Chelsea and Man U.
