My confidence in him is eroding. My hope is that he has the next manager lined up and has just been waiting so the transition can be fast for the new head coach. But the time to sack gerrard is now (or a month ago). Its way past due even if they dont have their replacement lined up. Each day that goes by I now worry about Purslow. Our owners have to be paying attention at this point. Its their money being wasted after all. I do know I dont enjoy watching my team and my club play football right now. Thats pretty damn bad.

Hmm nice one, I was hungry and this put me over the top. Reminds me I have cheese and branston in the fridge. Also i am off work today so I will have a beer with it as well Cheers mate. This is probably the only positive from today. Now for the delicious choice, do I add marmite or mango chutney? Oh back on topic Purslow, do your job.

I honestly think we woudl play better football under either of them. Chelsea is a loss under gerrard anyway. may as well use this week to sack him and start recruiting.

Dont even care what he says these days. It just makes me act like a toxic crazy man. Decent enough bloke but completely out of his depth. Just sack him ffs , the Gerrard project has been done for weeks now. This is just prolonging the agony.

I am excited to watch our players. Then after we kick off I remember we have a terrible coaching staff. Terrible tactics, no plan for our players. Watkins is poor yet again but I dont blame him. Not his fault he keeps getting picked when out of form.

I hate seeing Aston Villa packed play this "maybe someone will have a moment of brilliance" dross. Ashley Young did and thats great, but what chances are we creating from our tactics? Sod all. FFS these are very good players. Imagine seeing them under a good coaching staff. At least sub Watkins at half time and show you are awake Gerrard.

I think we know the answer. gerrard cant make in game changes so the best we will see is him bung on Ings for 10 minutes at the end and pray for a point.

Agree. he is one of many of our players being misused or benched because Gerrard doesnt know how to use them.

Ings may as well put in his transfer request and go and succeed at another club (and he will). Gerrard clearly doesnt want him. Madness to throw away Danny Ings for an out of form Watkins.

Must win. Simple as that. The players are more than good enough. Time for the staff to show they are good enough for this club , I dont think they are but would be delighted to be eating my words in a few hours. UTV as always I hope we win with an excellent performance and tactical setup.

I am left scratching my head how I ever accepted the clubs basic value proposition when hiring Gerrard "Its ok for the assistant manager to do all the tactical thinking and the manager to be in the passenger seat attracting good players." I should have laughed at that from the start. Good for Beale & QPR tho. I have no problem with his career decisions, seems a smart move.
