Agree with this I wouldn't read too much into it. All the loans of our youth team players were until January. Still if he continues his form he is sure to get a look in in his return.

well looks like he won't be loaned out until Benteke is back. I have not seen anything from him to suggest he coudl make it as a Premier Legue striker. To be fair though he has not had much of a chance. A loan would be a good option for him to show he has improved since joining Villa.

Get a grip people. Spurs have one of the strongest squads in the Premier League. Of their "reserve" starting 11 last night 9 of them would walk into our first team and most of them would improve it drastically. Our aim for this season is surely to avoid a relegation battle. This was a chance to give our squad players some action and hopefully they will gain something from the game time. It was vital Lambert took this chance to test them against Premier League opposition. We will revert back to our staring 11 against Citeh and set up to counter attack as they come in search of 3 pts. Hopefully we can get something out of the game. As for ratings etc., I think Bennet, Baker and Albrighton looked OK.

Carruthers forced off injured, not sure how serious, presume he will be assessed back at Bodymoor Heath. Grealish starred for Notts County in a big win for a struggling club. Ended 5-1 County are a mess. Stevens had a poor game but so did all around him, you would not guess that he has played Premier league football. Grealish looked very good and was not over awed physically. Despite being at County he should gain from this loan. Samir should start for MK Dons tonight.

We needed a creative midfielder but have not got one. That midfield will not win us games at home. That defence will always be a liability. Time for Lambert to go back to the drawing board.

I see a double substitution of him and Tonev on and a switch to 4 4 2 when opposition are playing too deep for our pace and counter attacking to work. I can definetly see using a 4-3-1-2 with Gabby as the link man

He can still be loaned to a Prem club with a keeper injury under the emergency loan for keepers rule, he can go to a championship club on loan or if he did find another club anywhere we could do a deal to release him on a free. Championship loan until January is the most likely. It a little strange that no one game in for him but nothing compared to the current Brazil goalkeeper being third choice at a Championship club!!!

Best of luck to him. Barry has been here since he was 15. He made over 60 appearances for the senior side and was part of our successful academy team. The club now stand to receive over £1million for him. Not sure why a section of our own “fans” have turned on this lad (mainly on VT). When I think of all the wasters we spent millions on over the years.

Kozak could be a great signing. I will allow us to paly a 4-3-1-2 more effectively. A good option for home games allowing us to hit more crosses with Gabby or KEA possibly playing as the link man.
