Deserves a new deal. At 23 he is still improving. He does need to cut the f ups out of his game which I have no doubt he can. He also needs to learn to stop getting so tight on bigger centre forwards who can and have turned him in an instant. As with all our defenders, lots of room for improvement but he does have the ability and getting rid of him would be a mistake.

He won't leave England and he won't leave us unless one fo the top four come in for him. We should be proactive and try and sign Wilfried Bony either way.

This for me too. For the first time in ages the pressure and tension has dropped among us fans. I hope PL doesn't allow that to affect the team also. We cannot afford to f**k this one up. This is a huge game and a massive chance to secure our future in the prem.

We were by far the superior side. Made them look like a Championship team. However we are still very poor defensively. Lack of protection from our midfield leaves us so exposed at the back we invited them to have a go. Add to that the OG we are our worse enemy at times. Bannon epitomised this at times. He played well and exploited the space on several occasions but was also guilty of ceded possession in dangerous areas with some unforced errors. Same could be said of Westwood at times. Benteke was again brilliant. Weimann and Gabby were also very good and Gabby’s goal on the end of a huge amount of passes was a great strike. Lowton had a poor game. Vlaar caused panic too at times losing his man. Baker recovered from an awful error and was strong. Clark had a decent game. Guzan was very good. Nzogbia was the right sub at the right time. Fair play to Lambert. Overall delighted with the win, especially coming from behind. Hopefully we can kick on from this. Could do with Bent back as another option.

Swindon Town have appointed Kevin MacDonald as their new manager. Best of luck to him. Decent man who's work at Villa went under the radar. Deserves a shot at a mangers job. Hopefully Swindon will provide it.

Will be interesting to see what PL decides on today both in terms of formation and personnel. A lot of talk about the 2nd half performance against Newcastle; to me it was full of endeavour but with no real cutting edge. I don't think we would of scored without been awarded the soft penalty.
