Re: Fabian Delph…….Its so hard to know what to make of him. The easy answer is very little. But to be fair to him this is the first decent run he’s had in and about our first team. He could be another Routledge. When I see him play for Swansea I keep asking myself is that the same lad we had at Villa….he was 23 then I don’t think anybody saw him becoming the player he is now?

You are leaving out the draw with Swansea and the win over Ipswich....Why?

Calm down people. I expect a big reaction from our players and our Management. We simply cannot (and I predict will not) make the same mistakes defensively again. I would bring back Guzan, Herd and Stevens. Start Benteke and Weimann up front. I reckon we will win 3-1.

Good result and some very promising performances. Delighted for Bennett, starting to see glimpses of what Lambert signed him for. Next few games are pivotal for our season. Hopefully we string together three wins. Our fans have been great all season. I think we see what Lambert is trying to do.

whatever about us.....Everton definitely cannot afford him. We can do it in a structured deal. pay Citeh a fee, Citeh pay up most of his contract, he sings for us on reduced wage. All parties are happy.

Lescott would be a very good signing for us. Cannot see it happening for a multitude of reasons. Wages being foremost amongst them.

Re: Darren Dent It’s up to the Club to set the price. Only the club are privy to the actual fee paid for him and any appearance related add on’s. In such circumstances a fee of around £10million coupled with a transfer request from Bent could be the same as a £16million bid. We would avoid paying up his contract and paying Sunderland the transfer fee add on.

Forgot he played for Swansea.Ah well….we could always ask Citeh for Jack Rodwell on loan.

On current form it’s easy to wonder why the hell we spent nearly £3million on him!! However we all need to give the lad more time. He is young and has not got a proper injury free run in the team yet. I remember having similar fears about Downing when he arrived from Boro.

Gutted in the end. We should of hung on for the win. We were shockingly bad for the opening 15mins. After that we improved to just plain bad until Benteke and weimann combined to give us an undeserved equaliser. 2nd half we were a different proposition. Benteke was excellent, Weimann was too. Westwood and Lowton were good. Clarke, Stevens and Herd all did Ok. I thought Michu's tackled on Westwood was a bloody disgrace, looked like a jiu jitsu leg lock.....maybe I'm wrong here...but to me it looked intentional. I am a little worried about Bennett and Albrigthton, Dont think they'd get in any other Prem sides first 11, maybe Readings? All in all we got a well deserved point. Lots of positives. Cannot fault the effort.

Great result , what more could you ask for on a cold Tuesday night. Hopefuly we can play like this against Liverpool.

Good day yesterday. Lots of positives in terms of trying to play decent football, retaining possession and good honest effort from all involved. Believe this is a team we fans can really get behind. No superstars and we are going to watch them develop in front of our eyes. It’s basically a brand new squad of players. Nice to see Bent scoring in consecutive games. Being benched really lit a fire under his ass! Our midfield faded a bit in the second half. Benteke should of scored. Our defence was at fault for their goal but these things will all improve. I saw enough to be looking forward to our next game.

Delighted....great performance, exactly what we want to see. Good honest effort from our lads. I predicted a Villa backlash after Southampton. Fair play to Lambert and the lads. Bring on the baggies.

How the hell did we lose that 4-1….shocking! If Benteke scored from his chance (actually chances) we would have been 2-0 up and I believe we would have won the game comfortably. He didn’t and we didn’t. What followed was appalling. It was pathetic how easily we crumpled…FFS, we looked so weak. Every one of them should be ashamed of allowing that to happen. Loosing Ireland was a body blow and it appears we have nobody else capable of linking up with our attack by way of a decent pass!! Look this sort of capitulation is undeniably worrying I just hope its blip and won’t happen again. Actually I am sure Paul Lambert will see to that. Looking forward to the backlash against Citeh and WBA

Nathan is going to Blackpool for game time. He has a full season ahead with an attack minded championship side who should be pushing for promotion. He has been crying out for game time. He’s a big lad, skillfull and has some pace and power. He is just lacking the sharpness (mental and physical) that he can only get on the pitch. This loan spell could be the making of him. At the very least it gives him to chance to shine.
