  1. Joe Cole and Sendoras are a waste of wages. Joe Cole is better than N'Zogbia. Although to be fair its like discussing which shit smells nicer.
  2. And that a replacement is sorted and inbound. And that a replacement is sorted and inbound.
  3. Based on how the clubs starting to turn round this might be the best way to steady the ship, at least in the short term. Personally, I'm starting to think the deal is all but done, and any announcement is being held off until Tim can get his first targets in for as cheap as possible. As soon as the takeover is announced we'll be paying hefty fees all over the shop You can't sell your business and demand its run how you want after the fact. New owners will do what they want. See Kraft's buyout of Cadbury.
  4. That's basically what I do for a living...via a history degree, teaching and some education based Local Authority jobs. My IT skills are limited to the ability to rattle up a PowerPoint and basic IT twattery. I know **** all about SQL, SSRS or any of the other technical bollocks I talk about on a daily basis. You don't need to. Can you manage a team and motivate the techy types to get stuff done? If yes go for it. Cheers Eames - not sure on the best way into it from my position though. I think if I take this job, official title is Service Desk Technician - I am thinking it will give me more exposure than what staying in recruitment would? Would you agree with that? The main thing for me is that I am having to take a cut of about £5k in order to go into it... Ok so initially you'll be doing front line support for idiots. My team manage this and whilst I muck in now and again and unlock a few passwords the level of tech skill required for my guys is quite high. Without knowing what the job is and who its for I can't advise as to how much you'll need to know....but as others have said.....if you want the job and can swallow the pay cut go for it.

Never seen it but I'm going to assu.e this isn't exactly a compliment.
  6. Absent chairman - who wants out - CEO in place who is running the club Star Striker - reportedly wants out - There are £32.5m reasons why this wouldn't result in an "unholy mess" Player of season - can walk for a knockdown price - Can he though? Rookie Manager - 50% win rate career win rate and took us to a Cup Final. Goalkeeping situation - ?? Not sure what you mean. We have two and are reportedly looking to strengthen this are tatty north stand, which no one seems to even have the nous to clean\paint - Club released development plans this week IIRC a group of injury pronce CB'S - Not even into August yet - could be resolved in the Transfer Window. No full backs Not even into August yet - could be resolved in the Transfer Window. Sure you will come back and rubbish all those, lets see what September brings. I'm not saying there aren't issues but blimey. Its hardly the apocalypse is it?
  7. I concur. What does make this club "an unholy mess from top to bottom"
  8. The first bit absolutely yes. The second bit absolutely no.
  9. Appreciate that Dr P. Mrs E will thank you as well since there's no need to bother now.

  11. Don't care where he goes.....just care about the price.
  12. This makes me sad.... One of the best chants in football has got away from us.
  13. I for one am not fussed either way....I like Lerner and I don't believe he deserves a lot of the shit he has taken in running the club. If he's here to stay and is willing to fund improvements then he has my support. It's also worth noting that Villa never do business in public so a lack of news shouldn't upset the pessimists too much. We'll know when we know.
  14. We've had the BBQ out two nights running so I've had massive steaks twice in two days. I'm currently trying to curl out what can only be described as a 14lb cannon ball.
  15. Not really. Nowt to do with Sherwood. But if those two were our only signings, for example, I'd still be very worried. (plus, as excited as I am by Gueye, I doubt most of us on VT have ever seen him play) So you're not excited that we've almost signed a player worth £9m? I'm thrilled but that's just me That's almost the exact opposite of what he said.

[emoji14]uke: not sure how Sherwood lying naked across his desk with a rose up his arse helps....but I'll take it if it works. Sherwood must of slowly unzipped his gilet Tim slowly eased the zip down to his waist - the Macron men on his shoulders rippling as he slowly eased himself out of the gilet. There was a soft thump as the down stuffed utility garment fell to the floor. Finally he spoke "There's something I need you to do Idrissa" gesturing towards the desk. Idrissa smiled. Finally, all his dreams were being realised. He looked in Tim's eyes, and then to the desk - the meaning unmistakeable. Tim placed his hand onto Idrissa's, both their hearts fluttered in excitement, Idrissa felt something firm against the palm oh his hand, the sweat made it difficult to grasp - he then felt the pressure against his arm, Tim pushed his hand downwards "This is it" Idrissa thought to himself. "Finally" He felt the pressure against the tip the object in his hand - and with a flick of the wrist, it began. 50 Shades of Gueye? Very good - but this is VT - so it can only ever be 50 Shades of Ghey.
  17. Brazilian players are the way forward. Don't think we've ever had one. Speak for yourself.
  18. We don't need to "persuade" Benteke to do shit. We've got all the cards here if noone bids the £32.5m. He's under contract and needs a decent season for the Euros, so he can't pull any on strike bollocks or risk not getting games.

  21. BBC journo reporting it as done on Twitter. UPDATE: fake account. As you were chaps. Absolutely no problem with selling him but not for a pittance and two knackered Liverpool rejects.
  22. Well of course, there's nobody else here who's gonna do it. Oh, the match. Yes, indeed. [emoji38]
