  1. Hause is ****** useless. Get rid. i was at the game and he has no clue.
  2. Other than for loyalty to an existing player, this a weird position to take. David is unproven, we need players who can score goals. I sincerely hope Baston makes the few critics eat their words.
  3. I trust DS to make the right decision. Sentiment doesn’t come into it. Davis hasn’t actually done much of note in a Villa shirt. Baston may not be the best thing since sliced bread but he has a better scoring record than Davies.
  4. Bournemouth FC mentions the Christoper Creeke, which is 25 minute walk and Baxters and Mello, Mello which are both in Boscombe about 15 mins from ground, all welcoming Away support. However, Boscombe is a bit of ****hole.
  5. Luiz is getting into his groove, Drinkwater hasn’t found his yet. I would put Drinkwater on the bench.
  6. Further to @Friendlycherry comments. More details of detour here: https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/18194658.brace-traffic-warning-ahead-m27-closure-55-mile-diversion-weekend/?Ref=fbpg&fbclid=IwAR1PbaJlQgwDn9FQFKSkMYOO06C4I78ABZvc0x3AFGi_cvmXN0PoE_oTeMg
  7. Your screw really is loose!
  8. I am not giving a second thought to him leaving. He plays for Aston Villa now and everything else is pointless speculation.
  9. Some of us local Bournemouth Lions are meeting in the Christopher Creeke pub from 12 on Saturday - it is just outside the town centre. About a 25 minute walk to the ground but there will also be taxis around. Here is the pub web site which has a location map. If anyone wants info about Bournemouth send me a message. https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/pubs/all-pubs/england/dorset/the-christopher-creeke-bournemouth
  10. Yes Hause is OK in the air, tackling going backwards etc but playing out from the back he is a bit of a liability. Obviously because Jack plays mostly on the left, we have a tendency to move the ball left but very often forward passes go astray from Hause or we lose possession. I would prefer to see Mings as the left CB but don’t know who would then play in the centre.
  11. I know he is still one of our players, but couldn’t this thread be added to “other rubbish”?
  12. Just shows how crap we have been up till now at putting them away. Really hope Samatta can do the business and start putting away the chances Jack is creating.
  13. When Nyland pulled off the incredible save and tipped onto the bar, I said to my son ‘were gonna win this!’ Elmo’s cross for Trez’s goal was out of this world!!! And I said ‘told you’...
  14. Just got back. Incredible night BUT... Walking back to the car, over the moon, smiling from ear to ear, singing “Wembley, Wembley” with my son and a few hundred others.... thinking when is the final? Text from mate... “Mate, aren’t you on holiday in Thailand on the 1st March?..... get back to the car, have got a parking ticket! No Wembley for me and £35 poorer........gutted.
  15. Villa Park will be rocking for the Leicester game but starting Samatta will give the atmosphere an even bigger boost. He must start.
  16. I don’t think so. It was seated on the top level and standing on the lower level. You can see the Witton Lane stand in this image for the Liverpool v Chelsea FA Cup semi-final in March 1965. It was made an all seater stand for the 66 World Cup.
  17. Almost exactly 20 years ago on 25th January 2000 we drew at Villa Park with Leicester 0-0 in the League Cup. Lets hope we can do better tomorrow.
  18. Agree. While many seem happy to write him off, I have never understood why.
  19. As we are approaching the 2nd leg of Carabao League Cup semi-final v Leicester on Tuesday, I thought people may be interested to see my 2nd leg programme from very first league cup final which we won over two legs against Rotherham. Due to congestion the previous season, we couldn’t play the final till the 1961/62 season. Despite its historical significance and the opportunity to win a cup, there was only a crowd of 31,202 at VP. As an 8 year old, I was one of them! We got off to a disastrous start in the first leg losing 2-0 at Rotherham in August. A month later at Villa park, we were still behind on agreggate by the 66th minute. Then Alan O’Neil and Harry Burrows pulled it back to 2-2 by 90 minutes. In extra time the legend that is Peter McParland made it three - nil and won the very first league cup for Aston Villa FC. After the match McParland described Villa fans as “the greatest fans in football” for urging the team on throughout the game. Nearly 60 years later, beat Leicester on Tuesday and we have a chance at Wembley of making it 6 League cups - Man City may have other ideas of course. UTV
  20. I really think it is to early to rate the guy. He definitely brought some energy but didn’t do a lot. Hope he can breakthrough though.
  21. They really are ****! Couldn’t do us a favour! Losing to Burnley at home could be the end for Solskaer.
  22. Big problems at Wham. Lets hope they get worse. Always been one of my most hated clubs.
  23. He was better last night but was a bit Hourahanish at times getting caught on the ball. Need to build up his confidence.
  24. 40,800+ last night and Watford didn’t sell the full allocation. Considering our season to date, I think it is amazing that we are almost selling out. Imagine the demand if we start to compete in the top half. As for the atmosphere last night, you could have cut it with a knife at times such was the tension. However, once we equalized it was electric and went ballistic at the end. ‘A cold Tuesday night’ at Villa Park when we win in the last ten seconds, is akin to being in paradise on speed
