dAVe80
Yeah, I struggle with spelling due to mild dyslexia. It's worse, when I don't have a browser with spell check, as I already said.
dAVe80
Are Harvesters any good? I've never eaten at one, and when ever I've seen adverts for it, the food looks rank. Have I been missing out? Edited November 27, 2015 by dAVe80

Have I been missing out? I like em, the best thing on the menu is either the boneless half duck, or the BAAAABY BACK RIBS. I like the salad cart too. But a lot of people moan about it like Nandos.

I went once, it was alright, cheap and cheerful with a salad bar to fill your boots

dAVe80
There was an advert for Harvester on my Facebook, and the chips look cold. Plus, who the hell has melon with ribs?!
Stevo985 Posted November 27, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted November 27, 2015 Harvesters are ok, as long as you're not expecting too much. Half decent food free salad. Just don't go to the one near me (Arden Oak). It's shabby as ****. Depresses me.
sharkyvilla
As much as I don't really like ribs anyway, having melon does look a bit odd, even if it's free in the salad bar. I basically went for a bowl of croutons smothered in BBQ sauce.

I'll probably be in there on Christmas day infact for a few beers before dinner, that's generally the only time I'll go in there. Stevo985 Posted November 30, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted November 30, 2015 Needs a lick of paint, to say the least. I don't mind Harvesters, but I@ll happily drive to the one in Shirley to avoid going to the Arden Oak, despite the fact it's less than a mile from my house. Xela
Harvesters... above or below Toby Carverys in the chain pub pecking order?

But having worked in a carvery (not a Toby) in my school/uni days, I've probably got a warped view of them.
