Karim El Ahmadi

Feyenoord

Recommended Posts

Transferred from Feyenoord for 2,8 million Euro's. He is a 27 year old central midfielder who had 1 year left on his contract.

His main qualities are winning balls in midfield and pressurising opponents. He plays with real passion and is extremely fit and quick. Technically he is quite weird to understand. He has fantastic skill in creating space for himself with the ball but he definitely needs to be banned from shooting at goal at all costs!!

I'm a Feyenoord fan and very sorry to see him go. He's a good lad but our financial situation is not great and we therefore had to accept the offer (He was also on very big wages with us...17k Euro's per week)

Seems strong, denk ik. :) Meer Eredivisie spelers pls!

Just no more Feyenoord players please :)

Villa should get Luciano Narsingh. Cracking right winger with also 1 year left on his contract. He is available for 5-6 million Euro's from Heerenveen. Him and Bent would be a sensational combination.

Never heard of him....what's he passing/control like? Also what nationality? (not that this matters just interested if we would lose a player or African nations etc)

There are clips of him on YouTube. He is Dutch but plays for Morocco.

I agree about Narsingh (hopefully not Ajax bound). Wouldn't resist snatching De Vrij or maybe Clasie from your team haha.

I try not to base an opinion on someone based on YouTube as a highlights reel could eventually make me look a decent player lol....just wondered if people who have seen him play regularly could say what his ability is like

Thanks for the information Feyenoord. The price looks right, we need a ball winner and we may be able to match his wage demands. He would also add to the list of Villa players that have performed well at your fine stadium albeit the rest of the list did so 30 years ago.

Karim El Ahmadi is on his way to Aston Villa. The top performers from the Premier League, in turn, some 2.8 million euros to Feyenoord.

The impending transfer of El Ahmadi supplies in Rotterdam double feelings. The Moroccan was namely at the point to extend his contract. Feyenoord was happy to continue to the player who last year developed the absolute playmaker in the team of Ronald Koeman.

At the same time it was his first good year after in 2008 he came to five million over FC Twente. Partly because of injuries took El Ahmadi never normal level. He frequently clashed with coach Mario Been, while his club mid-season 2010/11 to Al Ahli in Dubai let go.

If it was at Feyenoord was lying El Ahmadi stayed there, but the midfielder himself was determined to return to Rotterdam to show "that he is still one of the best midfielders of the Netherlands'. Coach Ronald Koeman regrets the departure of El Ahmadi, but realizes that Feyenoord a transfer fee of 2.8 million can not refuse. (Martijn Krabbendam)

We're buying a player from abroad who is good on the ball? I'll believe it when I see it. That's not a dig at Lambert by the way, but this isn't the kind of signing we'd usually make. Would be very pleased if true and would also obliterate my fears about Lambert only buying British.

is he a defensive midfielder? or a creative one?

Defensive midfielder that creates space and passes forward with attacking intent rather than giving Given possession every 5 seconds.
