He’s really not been a terrible football CEO, before him spurs had finished outside of the top 10 the majority of the time in the prem and never in Europe. Since him they’ve had Europe something like 16 times in 20 years and 8 of those in the champions league.

His way may have become outdated and some recent duds in Ndombele and Lo Celso but recent signings of Bentancur, Romero and Kulucevski evens that out.

Spurs fans have just become used to success and even with the 6/7th biggest transfer and wage budget they’ve over achieved in that time.

However Kane needs to go for the good of the team, the money and the correct plan to build a team not just hope a world class striker can save you.

This is bang on.

football fans always like to complain about their owners but the hatred for levy considering what they’ve achieved during his tenure- and where they were beforehand- is particularly short sighted

He's bad if you have any ambition of challenging for anything significant, but the only reason Spurs fans expect that is because of his stewardship so he's a bit of the architect of his own downfall in that respect.

They were in the Champions League final under his stewardship.

Yeah I know, I'm saying he's done well. Cup run aside, they feel they could have gotten even more with just a little bit more investment. They really dropped the ball between 2017-19 when they were riding high, that was the moment to capitalize and invest. Instead he tightened the purse strings. Didn't sign a single player for 18 months. On one hand, he's done a great job to even get to a position to say that they could seriously challenge for the title/CL with a bit of investment. On the other hand, not doing that is completely on him. Guess it depends on perspective.

People saying Wolves are an outside bet to go down how about this lot? 😂

I reckon they could actually do a bit better than expected under Postecoglu with less expectation. They've got a new GK which was an obvious weakness and added a bit more creativity in the final third with Maddison and Solomon. The Kane thing dragging on is obviously the biggest problem though. They could have done with selling him early and getting a new striker settled in IMO.

Some papers saying kane might sign new contract if spurs have a good season

Is he that dumb? They haven't won anything under better managers and had better sides in a less competitive period. Why would that change now?

Levy and spurs in general are a bit weird, it's genuinely frightening how they've managed to become so big and even though they've blagged this big 6 status they are big, their turnover is near 3x ours and yet they've won **** all, Harry Kane has no medals, they flirted with the league once

Levy took the illusion of competing to the bank and absolutely cashed in on it, they're in a false position not just in England but globally and they should be incredibly grateful to him... But at the same time they've still won **** all

They desperately need a cup

Nobody in England wants him for what Levy is prepared to accept.  City don't need him, neither do Liverpool.  United chose an in-experienced Serie A player and Chelsea seemingly aren't interested.  Levy has priced him out of a move, and will lose him for nothing unless he signs a new contract.

Yes that's where they lost their way. Barely gave Poch anything when that side was at its peak and then suddenly spent loads in summer 2019 when that team was starting to break up. Lo Celso, N'dombele, Sessegnon not worked out and their big money signings haven't been great and their manager appointments have been scattergun and very short term.

Bayern should offer 80m and be done with it. If they reject it move on leave spurs **** with a player that will leave on a free end of season.

I think im leaning towards that scenerio more as if he goes ona free spurs are ****

if you just change the dates from 2017-19 to 1997-99 we are talking about a certain Herbert Douglas Ellis.

Yep, spurs are in no position to be demanding anything.
