It's one that's trying to create a better image of a horrible country. It's similar to what is happening at man city and PSG, you use sport to improve the image of your country/domestic brands. It's called sports washing. Nobody cares if you are stoning women to death for being seen by another man as long as you bring in a number 9. Tha luv a number 9 in Newcastle like. But why are they doing it as part of a consortium? They have the money to do it on their own. For the other 2 parties, football is generally a terrible “investment” and Newcastle are already in the PL so chances of their stock increasing significantly is smalI. I still don’t get it.

villa4europe
Sounds like they've given out a pro rata refund for this seasons season tickets but then automatically taken out the money for next season

Sunderland are shafting their fans too. No refund, but you get to stream the rest of the home games. Not sure why they couldn't chuck away games in considering crowd sizes aren't a consideration and ~£20 a game strikes me as rather expensive for streaming. The_Steve
Quote Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has told the fiancee of late journalist Jamal Khashoggi he is "extremely sympathetic" to her plea for Newcastle's Saudi-backed takeover to be stopped. Hatice Cengiz has called for the proposed £300million deal to be blocked in two separate letters sent directly to Masters via her lawyers. Hmmm. True, but wasn't that down to the EFL and the PL handling paper work as we had been relegated and the paperwork couldn't be done between them? Tomaszk
Be so good if they start getting the points their performances have deserved and that puts it to bed. Don't fancy paying £300m for a Championship side.
