They’ve just beaten their biggest rivals away from home in a game that they don’t often get to play. It’s bragging rights.

Please don’t tell me modern football is so shit that derbies don’t matter?

They do matter but I would find it a bit cringy if we played blues next round and did the same

Alexander Isak probably cost 10 times as much as the Sunderland squad combined

If we hammered Blues at their place in the next round, there would absolutely be something similar on our social media accounts.

Not saying it would be the same, but there’d absolutely be something similar.

And rightly so!

Our players would have to leg it off the pitch at full time to dodge the missiles

I wouldn't mind, but Blunderland gave them the goals. Own goal, Goalkeeper f* up and a Penalty for a blatent foul. 😂

The article also says that some of those losses don't count for FFP:

However, The Gazette understands various expenditures including but not limited to the academy, women's football and charity, as well as a depreciation figure of around £8million, are added back to the loss - resulting in an overall loss of under £105million.

That’s annoying, but clearly their spending was going to be unsustainable given what little talent they’ve sold since the Saudi takeover to offset player purchases.

Looks like Bruno or another big name will be sold in the summer with those losses

Looks like selling our academy players for 100% profit is not such a bad thing after all.  We could turn the academy into a real profit machine, with any true gems going into first team.

What have they even spent that money on? As this season has shown, their squad isn’t even that good. Fair enough Guimaraes, Isak, Tonali. But Who else has been warranting such big sums? Harvey barnes?!

Gordon cost a fair bit and wages for certain players are very high.
