sexbelowsound
Has a good cross on him, had nothing defensively though. Couldn't have him and Naughton on the same pitch. In his defence he is essentially a winger who was converted to fullback at AZ. Defending probably isn't his strength.
Christer
Not the first fullback that have had problem with Nani, but he had a better game against Holland and robben, yes
Philosopher
His problem was that he gave Nani too much space. Every time he looked to close nani down he stopped a few yard short of nani and just stood there. Poor defending, and something that would get him destroyed in the premiership. However its easily corrected. After Denmark went behind thats when his problems started as he was very isolated and he seemed scared to tackle Nani without support. Clearly a player not confident in his tackling. Would be a liability in the prem. Say what you want about Hutton and Warnock at least they aren't afraid to put in a tackle. Simon Poulson can stay at AZ.

Laivasse
Not the first fullback that have had problem with Nani, but he had a better game against Holland and robben, yesConstantly cutting inside and shooting from 20+ yards as Robben has done this tournament is not the harshest test of a fullback. It wasn't just Nani running at him that caused him problems either, I thought his ball retention was poor and he just overall had a shaky game, in contrast to most of the other Danish players who had really solid ones. Probably could have done more to block the Portuguese winning goal too.
David-Copenhagen
He cost us the game - end off!!! Awful awful defending, a not so good JLS clone.
Ajax-fan
These players are easy to scout though. His strengths and weaknesses are very easy to find He is a typical Van Gaal product. Left winger who wasn't good enough and then played as back. Just like Reiziger and Bogarde back in the days. Although it's not the perfect solution, I do hope Kuyt plays as left back against Portugal. We need to win anyway.
AVFCforever1991
Talk of him going to Napoli, although its all just speculation. http://www.football-italia.net/19956/poulsen-solve-napoli-problem

Gompedyret
Was Poulsen the one letting Bender go for Germany's second goal? That alone is close to a deal breaker to me.
David-Copenhagen
That was not that Poulsen, but the missed blocking against Portugal did it for me.
Stu_The_Villan
Anybody know how Holman and Poulsen were linking up for AZ last season? Could be the thinking behind this. If they already have an understanding then it might just be a shrewd signing. Our left side was utter shite last season. Zog needs to be playing on the right cutting in or in the hole IMO. Hes not a typical 'get to the byline and whip it in' type of winger is he
