  1. Hi all! Another Dutch player!? The last signings didn't worked that well, I am suprised! First off, I really wanted to quote this one, even though it has nothing to do with Bacuna Ah I misunderstood guff lol. Just wanted to say, who are all these players!? hehe Nabil Abidallah Kemy Agustien Vurnon Anita George Boateng Paul Bosvelt Jordi Cryuff Daniel de Ridder Karim El Ahmadi Alfons Groenendijk Wim Jonk Denny Landzaat Martin Reuser Richard Sneekes Orlando Trustfull Robin van der Laan Richard Witschge All footballing luminaries... Argh another list of unknown players! Robin van der Laan!? Google says ... played 86 games in Holland at two very small clubs and over 300 games in England! (at very small clubs as well) Reuser failed in Holland as well, also counts for Augustien, De Ridder and Sneekes (didn't he play American Football!?). Most of the others weren't exactly giants here as well If you want good players which you know for sure they will make it, (least risk possible) don't look at smaller leagues. A big group of them didn't even succeed in smaller leagues hehe. I'm afraid Bacuna is one of them, so most importantly.. Leandro Bacuna! What a suprise move. I was stunned when I read this news. He is seen as a fairly poor player. Big ego, very wild player, overly agressive. Therefor bit of a card collector. (always wanted to say this in English simply means he gets alot of cards) I can’t see him succeed at Villa. His ball handling isn’t so poor, he just rushes things very much. His free kicks and penalties are his best qualities I guess. Also high energy, but as player not comparable with Holman. Groningen is a decent team, but not spectaculair at all. 1 million euro is serious business for them. For any Dutch team (excluding the bigger ones like Ajax, Twente, Vitesse, PSV) in fact. If you want good midfielders from the Dutch league, go for: Van Ginkel (Vitesse) Siem de Jong and Eriksen (Ajax) Perhaps Enoh as well? Still think he's at least as good as Tioté. Loaned out at Fulham, shouldn't cost as much as De Jong or Eriksen. In fact should be pretty cheap.. Strootman (PSV) or Toivonen if you need more attacking midfielders. I personally think Hutchinson could make it as well, more risky though. Fer (FC Twente) From ‘smaller’ teams like Groningen. Cheaper but more risky: Toornstra (FC Utrecht) Kali is free agent, I would picked him as well over Bacuna Duarte (Heracles) Hupperts (Roda JC) I understand Aston Villa isn’t a rich team anymore? All these transfers are pretty ‘unknown’ players. It’s abit like you are playing in the Dutch league! Risky but cheap transfers and hoping one of them is a gem hehe. Welcome to our world But you guys really need a better scout for Belgium, (lots of talented players there!) Netherlands and maybe other countries as well. Bacuna needs a miracle to succeed. And I know my predictions have been shit about El Ahmadi and Bradley. Altough I said El Ahmadi is abit of a wuss I was right about Holman and Vlaar ( pretty decent but not that good?) though hehe.. I would love to see Helenius at Ajax! Heard so many good things about him. I don’t know him as player, just he is very populair prospect for many Dutch teams. I think he will be that ‘gem’ next season at Aston Villa.
  2. Little update: (Dutch related) Narsingh from Heerenveen to PSV (4,1 million euro) PSV won the race against Ajax Luuk de Jong from FC Twente to Borussia Munchengladbach (15 million) Elia from Juventus to Werder Bremen (5.5 million) Amrabat from Kayserispor to Galatasaray (8 million) bit of suprise, Amrabat failed at PSV. Loovens from Celtic to Real Zaragoza (bosman) Aissati from Ajax to Vitesse (bosman) Vitesse wants to challenge the big teams in the Dutch league. They are the first Dutch team with rich owners. Pranjic from Bayern Munchen to Sporting Lissabon (bosman) Labyad from PSV to Sporting Lissabon (bosman) Zuiverloon from Real Mallorca to Heerenveen (on loan) Van Basten is the new head coach of Heerenveen El Hamdaoui from Ajax to Fiorentina (1 million) El Hamdaoui is a good player but had many fights with Frank de Boer Rumors: Muniesa from Barcelona to Ajax (on loan) Barcelona and Muniesa are both interested, it's up to Ajax now, 90% sure he will come. To replace Luuk de Jong, Twente is mostly interested in Castaignos (young Dutch talent plays at the primavera team of Inter) and Matavz (PSV)
  3. I think I understand the confusing part. It should have said UNLIKE Vertonghen. Which I ment to relate to the football part. If I remember things correctly. Vlaar made his debut in the game Netherlands - Italy 1-3. Vlaar was absolutely horrifying! He had alot of heavy critism which he couldn't deal with. He got on a dead end at AZ and wanted to make a new start at Feyenoord. Also Van Basten (head coach of Dutch team) did that more often. Players who weren't ready yet made their debut in the national team. Thing is, for myself, I watch players always if they would fit Ajax or not. With our high pressing lines, Vlaar just lacks pace. I really do hope Aston Villa won't press that high. Once the counter attack is going on, he will never catch up. Vertonghen is a slow starter as well, but with his elephant steps, he gets at least some top speed going. Also the youth acadamies is quite hard to say which one is best. Feyenoord sees his best players robbed by big clubs around the world. While Ajax get robbed too. Ajax however steals mostly themselves of all kind of teams around the world. The awards doesn't say anything at all, nonsense awards. In football it's all about the best players, playing sexy football and winning championships/cups. Without all the robbing it would be a close call I guess. There is a release clause yes. I don't know the exact price, most rumors here are around 4 million euro indeed.
  4. Don't worry. You haven't heard my Dunglish yet. You are 100% right. I forgot about them, Vitesse is filthy rich now. So it will be very hard to buy these players. If they manage to buy 2-3 good players, they will be tough to beat! Might be a suprise in the Europa League as well this season, although they are newcomers and unseeded. Vlaar-El Ahmadi-Holman. So curious how they will do. Aston Villa going Dutch (league).
  5. Vertonghen has a much better sliding than Vlaar as well. I don't think Vlaar is so much better than Vertonghen defending wise. Which he should be yes, because Vlaar is a 'real defender' unlike Vertonghen who had to learn defending at a fairly late point in his career. Perhaps yes, he will make Vitesse a big team, just like he did with Twente.. (midfield with El Ahmadi-Aissati-Engelaar) Also Engelaar was such a good player back then, remember Euro 2008! He is bosman. Won't say he is the best player ever, but he is worth the gambling if you don't have the money to buy the real big players? Perhaps you are right, and Aissati would fit more in the Spain/Dutch league. Bargain! I know, wished Ajax signed him You don't rate Vertonghen particularly much? I do! Vertonghen is orginally a midfielder. I wonder if that works out at Spurs. Vertonghen is a fantastic football player!! But pure defensive he makes his mistakes. He is becoming better and better at it though. And he isn't that old, so might learn faster now he will play more big games a year. Well now I'm just confused. I asked this and got told it was 'car' not 'stair'/'flare'. It's the a from car, the length of flare hmmm something like that Just try to say caar, and then make it vlaar Thank you! I am not the biggest fan of players like Vlaar. (most people in The Netherlands aren't..) I love football skilled players. Defenders are such a waste
  6. I would say it's closest to 'flare' but with more a's in it Really like how Aston Villa signed El Ahmadi, good player! One of the few Feyenoord players I would have loved to see at Ajax. One of the few indeed, Vlaar isn't one of those.. He is slow, not a great defender, not so good at football (like Vertonghen for example), one of the weakest link at the Dutch team this Euro 2012. He failed there and AZ in the early stage of his career. Do you know Loovens? He didn't make it make it in the premier league as well right? I rate Vlaar abit higher, but not much. Viergever/De Vrij/Gouweleeuw/Van Rhijn etc are more talented defenders. And.. the Dutch league is a very poor league defending wise. Douglas would have fit better the premier league I think, but even Douglas might be not good enough. (had a suprisely poor season at Twente) There are some positive sides too of course, he is fairly experienced, he is cheap, he knows El Ahmadi very well. I think he will fit in as person. Vlaar isn't a troublemaker. But.. I would love to see Aston Villa signing a trouble maker now! Not only the nice guys. Someone said before why Ajax doesn't want him. Ajax is very much interested in Muniesa from Barcelona. It's only 1 year loan, but I heard he is a big talent from the Barcelona acadamy. During that year Denswil (Ajax youth acadamy) will have time to learn and adept to the level of Ajax 1 and Vertonghen will have a good replacement in the meanwhile. Hope it works out! Which De Jong you were discussing earlier this thread? Nigel de Jong earns alot of money at City! To much money for 'an average player', way to much money. Siem de Jong is the new approved captain of Ajax, can't seem him leaving. Luuk de Jong will leave very soon to Borussia Munchengladbach for 15-20 million! Good player but that amount of money is sick if you ask me. Anyway Twente profits well. Also Aissati still hasn't found a new team. El Ahmadi, Holman and Aissati on a premier league might be abit 'lightweighted', pure football wise it's quality written all over! Holman can do his work while the others are passing the ball around. Can't believe why Ajax and Vitesse are waiting with a new contract for him still. Ajax seem to let him go and Vitesse wants to sign him. Aissati wants to leave to Spain, but he might consider to re join with El Ahmadi. (played together with him at FC Twente some years ago) Hope he stays in the Dutch league though, love to watch players like these. De Guzman already left to Swansea City, he would have been good as well. Narsingh is very close to signing a deal with PSV. Toivonen might leave PSV, but he should cost alot Im guessing (10 million or more) Guidetti is a good player! He lacks experience, he really knows how to fire the team and fans up. Extreme energetic player. Elia moved to Werder Bremen for only 5.5 million. Aissaidi might be off to Galatasaray for around 5 million. Some quick Dutch football news updates
  7. I am just glad Van Marwijk is very soon gone I always hated that guy hahah... New coach hmmm Ronald Koeman? He can't buy/scout players but his tactics are always good! And buying players isn't important as national coach Frank Rijkaard? Or coaches like Louis van Gaal or Co Adriaanse. This team needs some discipline! Also I do think most of the good players aren't old enough yet to retire. The big players will get at least one extra tournament to show themselves. The next generation is weaker indeed, but the youth acadamies starting to produce again. Feyenoord has an fantastic upcoming youth, so does Ajax. Even teams like AZ and PSV have some talents! It's just waiting for these players and let's hope they will be ready in two years in Brazil ! Anyway, here some rumors who the ones who like gossiping like my self... Bouma punched the doctor in his face (dont know why yet) Huntelaar was almost kicked out of the hotel because he did whine to much he wasn't playing Van Persie wanted to be a striker and Afellay as winger, Sneijder wanted Van der Vaart and Huntelaar in the team (as striker) (Van Persie and Sneijder are the two 'bosses' in the team) Van der Wiel and Robben had a fight because Van der Wiel was always up versus two men, Robben didn't help him at all and only cared about himself Other players didn't want to give Van der Wiel the ball, because he gave it to the opponent Ohter players didn't want to give Robben the ball, because you will never see it back Robben told Van Marwijk to shut up when Van Marwijk tried to tell him to help Van der Wiel out (against Portugal) I heard there were plenty more fights and now I even more disgusted. As fan you have to watch this awful defending football tactics while the players got all the fun!! Funny how you lot got to the WC final two years ago. It might be the same players but it's a different team/situation/opponents now. Brazil and Spain were the only two strong opponents we met on WC 2010. While we needed an own goal from Denmark and some luck vs Slovakia and Uruguay. Also look at the list who weren't fit before EURO 2012 started. Afellay (sub at Barcelona and had a serious injury), Van Bommel (getting older), Bouma (several injuries, was also sub at times at PSV), Nigel de Jong (sub at city), Kuyt (sub at Liverpool, getting older), Mathijssen (sub at Malaga, getting older as well), Sneijder (several injuries), Van der Wiel (had a serious injury, sub at Ajax) and Willems (only played few games, started as 3rd leftback of PSV... Pieters and Tamata were both injured for a very long time). This what bothers me the most. Van Marwijk keeps on saying there were no other players to call up blabla. Van Rhijn-Buttner-Emanuelson-Seedorf-Maher-Elia-Viergever-Maduro etc etc.. This makes me so sad. Except Maduro (Valencia) and Elia (Juventus) they played lots of games for Ajax (Van Rhijn)-Vitesse (Buttner)-AC Milan (Emanuelson and Seedorf)-AZ (Maher and Viergever) All good players! All not there at Euro 2012 for whatever silly reasons.. I could name plenty more Dutch players who had much better seasons than some of our current squad.. Anyway I wanted to post the fake and true rumors about the team. I don't think England had that on (sport)news since England is stilll in it. (source is VI, biggest football magazine/media in Holland and RTL 4, perhaps the biggest tv station here) Bouma couldn't be confirmed. So guess that's a fake. The players called Mark van Bommel assistent coach and disliked him. (Van Marwijk son in law thingy) Van Marwijk and Robben hated each other. Robben didn't listen to anyone and thought he was to good and always blamed others when he did things wrong. Van der Wiel only cared about his clothing designs and music. He didn't talked to anyone and was always listening to his music/letting his hair cut. Which he seemed to do every day.. Huntelaar and Van der Vaart called Van Marwijk unfair because they never played whatever they did. (Dutch people always blamed Van Marwijk he had 11 standard starting players and 3 standard subs whatever happend) Also Van der Vaart and Huntelaar seemed to whine alot too. RTL 4 said the biggest problems were Van Persie and Afellay. Van Persie said Huntelaar could get number 9 because number 16 (Van Persie himself) plays anyway. Afellay said he played at FC Barcelona and he was clearly to good for the rest. So I hope these two queens get kicked out of the squad in the future. Van Persie might be the best player of Arsenal last season but having said that.. it's not like Arsenal had so much quality. The others are pretty average. At the Dutch team Van Persie always has been one of the players. He never stood out. And Afellay is just sad. He barerly plays for Barcelona and should go to a team where he plays. Also he plays extremely poor for the Dutch team as well. Sneijder seemed to be the only one who wanted to make things happen. Funny to hear he wanted Huntelaar/Van der Vaart/Kuyt in the team. Sneijder really needs to be our new captain Anyway, I guess this was the end of an awful Dutch saga. The worst Dutch team I've ever seen, by far...
  8. Dutch media were talking about. NOS and RTL who both have football talkshows were saying this. They said alot of shit happend and it's just waiting till the news is spread. I heard some things as well before the tournament started and think things have exploded after the loss versus Denmark.
  9. I am just glad Van Marwijk is very soon gone I always hated that guy hahah... New coach hmmm Ronald Koeman? He can't buy/scout players but his tactics are always good! 10. Come on Ireland! Please get at least one point. Netherlands deserves to be the worst team!
  11. Argh I knew I shouldn't have said that, if at least 10 wingers are injured. You never know about Babel and Lens lol Trust me, the future is gonna be bright of the Dutch team.
  12. I disagree! Look at this, the 'near future squad' Stekelenburg/Vorm/Krul Zoet (is a fantastic talented goalkeeper from PSV) (Van der Hart is choosen as best player from the Ajax acadamy last season!) Van Rhijn (fanstastic RB at Ajax!) Van der Wiel Heitinga-Douglas (is Dutchman in august)- Viergever- Gouweleeuw - Denswil (all big talents from AZ, Heerenveen, Ajax)- Maduro - De Vrij (much better player than Vlaar)- Bruma perhaps as well Buttner (good LB at Vitesse)-Pieters-Emanuelson Anita (best CDM in Holland)- Nigel De Jong- Strootman- Fer Sneijder- Maher (best talent I have seen in a long long time)- Van der Vaart - Clasie- Afellay Narsingh- Van Persie- John (talented player at Benfica)- Robben- Elia- Afellay- perhaps even players like Lens and Babel Van Persie- Huntelaar - Van Wolfswinkel - Dost- Luuk de Jong Dutch is not Deutsch hahaha! Deutsch is German Dutch = Nederlands. Holland is an offical nick name of The Netherlands. Italia for example doesn't even translate or know the word netherlands. The only got Ollandia orso which means Holland. Both The Netherlands and Holland are official names. Of course this is fan talk haha! But the Dutch media is waaaaaaaaaaay more rude and harsh on Van Marwijk than me! Van Marwijk will get a shocker once he returned. Everyone 'hates' him. He will be sacked/resign very soon. The boss of the Dutch FA said this was a disgrace. Players aren't a team anymore. Van der Wiel had a fight with some other players. Van Persie wants to play as striker and Afellay as winger. Sneijder wants to play with Huntelaar as striker, Van Persie close to Huntelaar and Van der Vaart on the midfield. It's a mess! Every player wants a different tactic and Van Marwijk is to scared to make hard decisions. Dutch people/footballers have big mouth. You need to show them who is boss else things go out of hand, like it happened now!
  13. These players are easy to scout though. His strengths and weaknesses are very easy to find He is a typical Van Gaal product. Left winger who wasn't good enough and then played as back. Just like Reiziger and Bogarde back in the days. Although it's not the perfect solution, I do hope Kuyt plays as left back against Portugal. We need to win anyway.
  14. Without knowing it, you said it all. 3rd team after Germany. A bigger disgrace isn't possible! There are two important codes in Dutch football. Ajax is better than Feyenoord. The Netherlands are better than Germany. Once we have a new coach, a new era will start. Van Marwijk will get sacked anyway, no one likes him anymore with his Chelsea shuffles (we got even bigger borefests than France and PSV ugh..) His days are over!
  15. I am so pissed off at Van Marwijk. He is such a weak coach! Very stubborn. Pure luck two years ago with WC 2010 final. Other teams were just horrible. Why Van der Wiel and no Van Rhijn? Van Rhijn was starting RB at Ajax while Van der Wiel was injured. And he did a better job!! Van Rhijn isn't even in the Dutch squad.. Where are Maduro (Valencia) and a very talented player like Viergever (AZ) left out? So much better than Vlaar and sorry.. Bouma. (Bouma is over the hill.) Why is a young guy playing as left back? Where is Buttner (Vitesse) of Emanuelson who plays at AC Milan? Emanuelson has 6 year experience as left back at Ajax and Milan.... Why De Jong and Van Bommel, a defensive wall in the Dutch team!? What a disgrace!! Where are Anita (Ajax) and revelation of last season Maher (AZ)?? Why is Stijn Schaars in the squad? He's useless! Forget about Strootman, he is another shitty defensive midfielder. I can't stand them anymore! Why Huntelaar as striker (as sub) but keeping Narsingh on the bench. And other wingers as Elia and John not even in the squad? Robben never gives any assists. Why Van Persie as striker? He is so much better in a 'free role' around Huntelaar. Why is Luuk de Jong on the bench always? He is brought as target man into the squad! And now we getting Dirk Kuyt every time!? Since when is Kuyt a target man when we are behind and things need to be 'forced'... Why is Van Bommel a starting player as 'old experienced player' but no Seedorf!? We could have had a midfield with Anita-Maher-Sneijder-Van der Vaart (Seedorf-Emanuelson-Afellay as subs). That midfield is truly epic. But no no Van Marwijk is our boss. So we get De Jong-Van Bomm... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  16. 3 or 4-0 Bayern. Disliked Chelsea games, felt abit like Greece in EC 2004.
  17. Advocaat back to PSV. PSV wants to revive their good old days. Wonder if that happens. I think it wont happen My post in the Holman topic should have been here lol.. Vertonghen is good enough for Arsenal! Vermaelen will get a hard time, although these two are very good friends. But dont think he will sign at Arsenal. Spurs or Barcelona my guesses.
  18. Dont forget AZ won the league before Twente did! Also a huge suprise. This is so hard to say. I think there is a top 3 now and no top 4 anymore. Serie A has become to weak in my opinion. The Dutch League and French league has changed alot the past years, The strongest teams has become weaker (which means Ajax sadly too..) and the weaker teams has become stronger. In Portugal the opposite happend. Porto and Benfica are real strong teams nowadays. Sporting and Braga are decent as well but the rest of that league is absolute worthless. Close to amateur level I would say. I miss Russia in this list too. Would be a fair 8th close to France/Portugal/Netherlands. SPL is Scottish Premier League!? hehe nice one.. Montpellier is I think even bigger suprise then Twente and AZ. Paris Saint Germain spended over 90 million euro in their squad last summer! And might be second in a 'weaker' league, thats amazing of Montpellier! Would love to draw them in the CL next season. Finally a more 'unknown' team in the CL.
  19. I know Premier League has two important games as well today. But for the ones who want to something different.. Tonight and Sunday huge games in the Dutch league! Tonight 20:00 Dutch GMT NEC - AZ NEC (10th) battling for playoffs (playoffs is two rounds between 6, 7, 8 and 9th for the last Europa League ticket) AZ (4th), with Holman of course, battling for Champions League (2nd) but also for not to become 6th in the league. Its still really tight! Ajax – VVV Ajax (1st) championships game yay. VVV (16th) battling against relegation playoffs (15th is safe, VVV is 16th which is those playoffs) Will be a huge party anyway! Feyenoord – Heracles Feyenoord is the revelation of this season, sitting 2nd in the league! They need to win this game though. Heracles (11th) battling for EL playoffs. PSV – ADO Den Haag/The Hague PSV (3rd) battling for CL spot. ADO (15th) battling to stay 15th. FC Twente – SC Heerenveen Douglas’ Twente (6th!) will be fighting Dost’s Heerenveen (5th) also for 2nd spot in the Eredivisie. Huge game! McClaren needs to win this game. He is only back for few months but cant see him survive this summer if Twente ends 6th in the Eredivisie. De Graafshap – Excelsior Least interesting game for you all. But perhaps the most important one. De Graafschap (17th) and Excelsior (18th) in a fight against relegation. 18th will be gone. 17th will play playoffs promotion/relegation. Other games: Groningen (13th) - NAC (14th). FC Utrecht (12th) – Vitesse (7th). 'play offs EL battle' RKC (9th) – Roda JC (8th) Newcastle and Aston Villa are linked to Douglas. Rumors are Douglas transfer fee will be around 8 million. Dost future club still unknown. He should cost around 7 million. To much if you ask me… Most interesting one for me is Vertonghen wants to leave Ajax and has become such a good defender! Spurs wants to have him but also other big English teams are interested and rumors are Barcelona is in there as well. Have no idea what he should cost. Sometimes I hear 8 million (a disgrace!!) and sometimes 15 million (thats more like it). He has only 1year contract left. I have no idea where he should go to and what his pricetag will be.. Ajax is interested in Moisander (meh dont rate him, defender at AZ) and Elia (bench at Juventus, do like!) No idea what this means for the Ajax and Narsingh link. And read those rumors your coach gets sacked. Get Adriaanse (former AZ, Ajax, Porto) Van Gaal, or Verbeek (currently AZ) in. They are all free for next season! Anyway season almost ended, has been a thrill like never before.. Tonight and tomorrow one big party To get in the mood, here some nice youtube stuff. (older movie, victory dance versus PSV in Dutch cup final) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zldOTD9xJNU (Ajax championship game versus Twente, first and second places in the last game of the season!)
  20. Nothing heard in Dutch sportnews (yet?) He scored quite a nice goal vs VVV last week. You can see all highlights and the goal on Eredivisielive.nl. Easy to google You can see all the highlights of all the Dutch games on that website a day after the games were played. AZ still battling for Champions League spot, currently 2nd. Ajax almost champion. Saw the Bas Dost topic was closed, some little information for the ones who are interested: Schone moved from NEC to Ajax. Narsingh is close to sign at Ajax. Dost wants to move to Atletico Madrid. Assaidi wants to leave as well. Benfica is interested in Chadli from Twente. Dont know if Aston Villa is interested in players from on loan. Castaignos is sitting on the bench at Inter. He is a pretty good striker, nothing less than Van Wolfswinkel/Dost. Kevin De Bruyne moves from Racing Genk (Belgium) to Chelsea this summer. Vitesse and Twente (both Holland) are interested to get him at least one year. He is a very good player! You need to stay in the Premier League ofcourse and interested in players which only stay one year and dont get any money from their transfers. Goodluck!
  21. Thanks! I think Van Wolfswinkel and Dost are about on the same level. But lets not forget that the Dutch and Portugese are much lower level than England. It was a good signing though from Sporting. Needed to think some moments about Postma haha! Completly forgot about him, the most famous Postma in The Netherlands was good at speed skating And the goalkeeper is more famous because of his little porn movie than his saves lol. Germany is playing modern football too nowadays! Great youngsters they got, extremely talented. I noticed Aston Villa is very low in the table. If I am honest I have no idea if it the coach/managers fault or simply not enough quality players or well it if even can be both as well. Oh wow Bayern scored Ajax was very close to sign him last year but it went off the last minute. Instead we bought Sigthorsson and Bulykin. We got Siem de Jong as well. So he wont go for sure to Ajax. Feyenoord is still interested but they cant afford him yet. They are just back from 0 (bankrupted). PSV spended over 30 million last summer, and Ajax about the same 3 years ago. Dutch teams are at best when they dont spend any money somehow. Sulejmani was most expensive with 16 million. Normal big players will be bought for abour 8 million like Suarez and Huntelaar etc etc. Twente just bought Tadic from Groningen for 8 million for example. I wonder what Heerenveen will get for real. Heerenveen always overprice their players! Its annoying hehe. They also will sell their wingers Assaidi and Narsingh. Van Basten (their new head coach) wouldnt want to start at his new team with all his good players left. Wolfsburg (Volkswagen city!) is very rich so Heerenveen will try to get every penny they can get now. Thing is, Dost had a fight with the Heerenveen managers and coaches last season at Heerenveen, he didnt get any back up from the team. He still wants to leave because of this reason. That will lower the price. I think he will leave for 6-7 million. Heerenveen will get another huge overpriced transfer again if they really can sold him for 10 million.. I think some players really stick out like a sore thumb, very few people would have doubted that the likes of RVN and RVP would adjust to our league. Others (as you have said) have been hit and miss, with some, quite frankly turning into joke figures, alves made our signing of Balaban look shrewd. With limited finances id be wary of spending £10m on any player from the dutch league. You serious, not even players like Vertonghen/Eriksen/Van der Vaart/Sneijder/Huntelaar/Van Persie/Van Nistelrooij/Ibrahimovic/Suarez/Maher/Afellay (and the list goes on and on and..)? You are right about Alves though. But he was stupid, he had an iq of a fish lol.. He did well in the Dutch League, but he scored most his vs the lower tabled Dutch teams in unimportant games. 7 goals versus Heracles (newcomer back then)! I have to say, same counts for Dost so far. Thats why you shouldnt spent 10 million on him, thats such a huge gamble. 4-6 million is gambling too but at least thats a fair price for both teams. A little extra information from players from my not so small list..: Schone (free) got linked with Feyenoord/Twente/Schalke 04/Ajax. Narsingh (1year contract, so 4-6 milion) linked with PSV and Ajax. Our head coach talked with both players and both had a ‘good feeling’. Think they will be signed up very soon! So Aston Villa needs to be quick now. Dost has 2015 contract. That wont do his price any good too.
  22. Holman didnt play good, AZ didnt play good. Valencia was simply the better team. Also this season seems abit to long for AZ. They lost in the Dutch cup vs Heracles (small team), lost vs Valencia and lost their leading spot in the league to Ajax. AZ as team looks very tired last weeks. Even Holman seems to be tired, afraid they will get some tough weeks. And with the top 6 of the league so close to each other, AZ could still lose it all. Dont know if its fair to rate Holman in this game. Valencia is perhaps better than any other team in England? At least same level as Manchesters, although they didnt had a very good run in the Champions League. 5 out of 8 teams in Europe are Spanish, says it all... Best of luck all and Petrov!
  23. My bad, you are right. He is Dutchman too, since few months. Guess you already knew that too then Steve McClaren losing his credits. It all went wrong vs Schalke, he shouldnt have rested some important players, they ended a good run at that moment. Dont think Twente will recover fast, so Douglas 99% leaving then indeed.
  24. Very good game of him! Stunning beautiful goal. Did you saw that moment from Martens, at the sideline? Thats drooling stuff... To bad Maher was abit to hungry. Didnt perform well. Still think Valencia will go through though.
  25. Ah what you need, is Maher. Adam Maher is a special one. He is a playmaker/midfielder and will cost 10-30 million euro. Quite a big range but thats because he is very young. I have no idea what he wants in his career, stay alittle longer in the Dutch league or leaving soon. Hope and think he will stay if I am honest. You will see him at one of the best clubs in the world soon enough. Will become a Dutch international very soon too. He plays at AZ and is already their mvp. The only thing which isnt good, is.. he doesnt play for Ajax. And I am afraid he never will. More talented than Eriksen, love him just as much as my personal favorite, Van der Vaart. Wouldnt be a Spanish/Dutch/German head coach a nice idea? They know about total football, much much more than me ... Anyway here some interesting players I know: Stekelenburg (10) – AS Roma - goalkeeper – Italian league is shitty nowadays Vorm (5?) – Swansea City – goalkeeper – From Swansea to Villa is a step up still? I know the table standings but… Gomes (?) – Spurs – goalkeeper – how can he become so bad? He was such a terrific goalkeeper at PSV! Might leave? Emanuelson (5-15) – AC Milan – midfielder – perhaps you can get him cheap once he is on the bench there, he is a starting player atm though Strootman (10-15) PSV – midfielder – new Van Bommel Kuyt (bosman/1 year contract? Less than 5 million orso?) – Liverpool – hard worker– Holman and Kuyt is perhaps abit to much, but he did pretty well at Liverpool right? Think he will leave Wijnaldum (5-10) PSV – midfielder – still to playful, does know how to play football though De Jong (10-15) – Twente – striker – Hollands next striker, not as good as Huntelaar/Van Nistelrooij/Kluivert though Narsingh (5) – Heerenveen – winger – decent, your typical Dutch winger, think he will leave Elia (10) Juventus – winger – sitting at the bench there, picking his nose, think he will leave Douglas (10) – Twente – defender – beast Van der Wiel (6-12) - Ajax – right back – will leave, very good at attacking, could be better at defending El Hamdaoui (1-2..) – Ajax – striker – had a fight with De Boer, never plays anymore, was a very good striker! Havent played for quite awhile though.. worth the risk, will leave Alderweireld (10) – Ajax – defender – decent, nothing that special Anita (10-15) – Ajax – defensive midfielder/playmaker – you will laugh with his girly name and being a tiny human, just wait till you see him playing he is good! Sulejmani (5-10) – Ajax – winger – to bad he had so many injuries, he once was the next big thing Enoh (5) – Ajax – defensive midfielder – animal Aissati (bosman) – Ajax – midfielder – such a shame he never made it at Ajax and PSV, he was good for Twente a while ago. As bosman worth the risk, will leave I think Eriksen (15-35) – Ajax – midfielder – you know him, closest to Maher in this list Vertonghen (10-15) – Ajax – defender / playmaker – he will be quite sensational when he will enter the English or Spanish league, will leave I am afraid.. Kalas (?) – Vitesse/Chelsea – defender – decent player, dont know if he is good enough for Chelsea, to young anyway for now Bony (8-15) – Vitesse – striker – egocentric but good, great dibbling, will leave I think Schone (bosman) – NEC – midfielder/playmaker – Schalke and Twente are interested to sign him, dont know if he is able to survive the Premier League, worth the risk, will leave Tyton (5-10) – PSV – goalkeeper – decent, braveheart Ooijer (bosman) – Ajax – defender – just kidding, just want to wake you up with this wall of text! Toivonen (10) – PSV – attacking midfielder – bit annoying and whiny, scores alot, might leave Lens (5) – PSV – winger/striker – decent enough, might leave Babel (5?) Hoffenheim – winger – decent enough? Matavz (5-10) PSV – striker – cold as ice, deadly, cant play football at all though, bit like Makaay Mertens (10-15) – PSV – winger – good dribbles skills, bit of a small engine Dost (5) – Heerenveen – striker – bit of a mad man, might be worth the risk, at least he knows how to score Assaidi (5) – Heerenveen – winger – great dribbling skills, playful, not enough body for Aston Villa my guesses, will leave Fer (5-10) – Twente – midfielder – powerhouse Chadli (10) – Twente – winger – I wonder if he will fit in the Premier League, Ruiz failing at Fulham, Chadly has more body, Ruiz is the better footballer, might leave El Ahmadi (3-5) Feyenoord – defensive midfielder/playmaker – never ever scores, bit of a wuss, still a lovely footballer to watch, has alot of skills, might worth his low price, might leave Guidetti (?) – Feyenoord/Manchester City – mad man just like Dost, very energetic Asare (2-3) FC Utrecht – midfielder/allrounder – dont know why he is in this list, I like him somehow, worth a gamble perhaps, decent player Tadic (5-10) Groningen – winger – good crosses, tad slow, some say he already signed at Twente for 8 million, will leave Esteban (5) – AZ – goalkeeper – decent goalie, still very young Elm (5-15) – AZ – midfielder/playmaker – tad slow, perhaps to slow to Premier League standards, his passing and crosses are phenomenal Martens (5) AZ – midfielder/playmaker – getting older and gets more injuries it seems, still a damn good player Pranjic (bosman) – Bayern Munchen – midfielder - I loved this player so much at Heerenveen, he is getting older.. if he fails in the Premier League…. Cant see that happening! Van Wolfswinkel (5-10) – Sporting Portugal – striker – calmer version of Dost, might be overpriced like 10 or even more De Bruyne (on loan) – Chelsea/Racing Genk – midfielder/winger – Good player, tad slow, you might get him on loan from Chelsea. If you have a policy which allows you to take players on loan as well. Ajax almost never does that, for example And the Dutch youth league is as always full with talents but those players should all stay Some of them will make it, some of them wont, but these are the best players in the Dutch league imo. Some players have higher price tags and I dont rate them that highly, thats because I dont think they will leave. Others will be cheaper like Vertonghen, a bargain for such a price, afraid it might be even abit lower or around 10 Thats what a 1 year contracts does apparantly. I understand Aston Villa cant buy them all. Pick out your favorite! Eat that Numan lol
