2035:

HALF-TIME- MK Dons 1-0 Wigan

BBC Sport's Chris Osborne at Stadium MK: "Wigan's defence of their FA Cup reign could be ending with a whimper. MK Dons have got in behind them so many times it's getting a bit silly.

"Aston Villa loanee Samir Carruthers looks a devilish little player for them. Wigan are curiously playing a back-three - made up of the hapless Leon Barnett and two midfielders. It's something Uwe Rosler will surely need to address at half-time."

On the BBC sports page half time update right now it says Mk Dons 1 Wigan 0

"In the middle Aston Villa loanee Samir Carruthers looks a devilish little player for MK Dons."

Isn't this the type of player we want??

They said that about the likes of Darren Byfield, Stefan & Luke Moore.

A lot of these young players can look the nuts, fans laud them then they fail and are ‘shit'

But surely some young players are good, and I do like devilish ones

How long contract does he have? Also was he the one who supposedly flaunted the mobile phone rule last season?

What rule was that?
I think (and I may be wrong) that there was a rule about using mobiles in training or the changing room, think carruthers broke it early days in lamberts reign and was promptly sent back to train with the reserves. Not 100% on that though Edited by mikeyp102

Got fouled seven times in that game. Once on right wing, once attacking half, the rest in the defensive half.

What's your conclusion?

Wigan couldn't handle him.

For comparison, in yesterday's game against Arsenal we fouled Jack Wilshere 3 times. Seven is a lot of getting hacked down and picking yourself up again.

Yes he is tricky

More from the BBC full time report

"In fact, it was MK, soaking up the pressure and breaking through the superb link-up play of on-loan Aston Villa youngster Samir Carruthers, who carved out the better chances, with Reeves flashing over and Williams slapping the post with a deflected volley."

Exactly what we need. :)

Wigan is Championship level opposition. He made a real effort to show what he could do, and he got noticed.

Carruthers and Grealish would improve our midfield but it is too early to give them that responsibility. They will make mistakes, lack consistency, we could only use them as subs. Need a few more months in the lower divisions starting games. Next season they will get their chance.
