He only wasn't 1st choice for about the last 8 weeks of the season, and was then not on the bench not because he was the '3rd best' but because De Zerbi and he completely fell out and De Zerbi was making the point that he had no future at the club. Well no Brighton dropped him in February and he was injured last few weeka.
