Obviously you don't understand how this works, so let me explain. COD IS the best selling franchise in ANY mode of entertainment. That means it makes the most money. EA like money (online pass for 2nd hand gamers?), so they wanted to take some of the fans from COD and turn them to battlefield lovers, y'know, so they can make more money? Why do you think they released it a mere 2 weeks before COD? BF3's damage model is higher than any other BF, to try and make it similar to COD. The conquest maps on BF3, are smaller than on previous BFs (not including bad companies), this is so COD players dont think 'I havent seen anyone for 5 seconds, IM BORED!'. They even created a squad deathmatch, which takes a small area of a conquest map, and shoves 24 players into it. So yea, in some aspects, they have tried to copy COD, just to cater for players who EA hope to make the switch between the two games. Glad I could clear that up for ya. You've still managed to squeeze in 6 hours of gameplay though As I said, I play this with my online friends, I do enjoy it to a certain degree, but its exactly the same as all the other games. You've only played COD since BLOPS, this is still probably pretty new and exciting to you. But having had COD4, MW2, BLOPS and this, I'm telling you it hasn't changed for 6 years. I'm not hammering the game because I think its mega shit, I'm hammering the game because I want the developers to get off their lazy arses and earn their £45 from each of us gamers. I think some on here think I want to hate this game, just for being a COD, it's just not the case. I'd love to enjoy it, but I cant, because its just so old and samey. If you dont mind playing the same game over and over, fair play, I'll just stick to something with a bit more variation and vastness to it. That made me mad, because its such an empty promise and some people bought the game with 1942 added on and though '2 games isnt bad for the £30'.. I don't see anything particularly ground breaking there, to me that's BF2 with improved graphics and more of an attempt to appeal to the masses. Yet you criticise CoD for not changing. He runs around where his team aren't and just kills the other team when they are all together. He knows exactly where they are going to respawn and where they are likely to be/appear. One of the main things that annoys me is the match making when none of my mates are playing it and I'm trying to find a game to join. I always get put on a shit team! I thought that they tried to balance the teams out before the game starts!?! It happens when I choose mercenary too so it's not like I'm stuck on a team with shit randoms vs a 'clan' I get stuff like this... Me 71 B 9 C 15 D 6 E 29 F 31 Vs A 80 B 12 (Prestiged twice) C 62 D 73 E 39 (Prestiged) F 76 I do actually get the highest score quite alot but I end up losing alot of the games because the others on my team get shocking stats like 2 kills 19 deaths. I had one person on my team last night that finished with no kills and 28 deaths. I had the highest score in the game by over 1000 and we still lost by nearly 3000 points. Unbelievable! Run the following perk setup (Pro level where possible): Tier 1= Blind Eye Tier 2 = Assassin Tier 3 = Steady Aim Second gun should be either a silenced or akimbo MP9 (despite the Skorpion's better stats, the increased fire-rate makes handling the recoil a bitch). Run the Support killstreak setup as follows: 4 kills = UAV 12 kills = Stealth Bomber 18 kills = Escort Airdrop Both guns have insane stopping power, even at range (and with Steady Aim on if you do bump into someone around the corner you can hip-fire your way out of trouble). You won't get picked off by air support, and if you're stuck with a shite team then having UAV up (and whatever goodies the Osprey drops) will go a long way towards the win.
