No he didn't, what he basically said was that they've had 3 offers for M'Vila, Rennes have set their price (believed to be €20mil) but as yet no agreement has ben reached with any club. Tellingly though he gave M'Vila permission to remain in Britain as talks were resuming in the week. I read that as talks ongoing, no breakdown and the player is expected to leave Rennes this week. Interestingly it is also being reported that Rennes will no be paying all of Makoun's wages, Villa will still be contributing a significant amount. Read your quote again, it's old news, he said that last week, the quote I'm talking about is from within the last hour to two hours as he also refers to Makoun having his medical today (which he is).
