The only way I’d consider something like this would be to take the money and spend it all at home on projects to make peoples lives better. Food banks, sports clubs / academies / facilities, training schemes, coaching. Take the oil money but then use it for good. Messi will probably buy a yacht, and try and dodge the tax. ThunderPower_14
It'll be quite funny to see all the 15 year old Messi fans scramble after spending 12 months slamming Ronaldo. It's such an ugly move for both of them. Both of them have bank accounts that would make Scrooge McDuck's vault blush and they'll sell their souls for money that won't meaningfully change their lives.
Hank Scorpio
What's the point of doing this if your the team? Genuinely nobody outside of the country gives a damn about football there so...why?

Saudi are making an effort to become less pathetic as a WC candidate.

Keyblade
Ronaldo FC will be sensing a chink in the armor. They'll both be playing in the same league too.

Genie
Be funny to see Ronaldo’s face when he is on the reported $2m a week and then Messi rolls in on $10m. It’s crazy money either way but Ronaldo’s ego would be damaged if Messi got 5x as much money.
