Cracker1234
Should be starting along side Dunne tomorrow as both Collins and Cuellar are out injured. Collins has a calf strain.

sir_gary_cahill
if he plays tomorrow at cb, i think he'll cement himself in the team
fran_villa
If he's playing cb that means Young is back at LB, witch I'll be happy about I thinks Youngs best games for us have been LB.
YankeeinMadrid
He will become the best CB in the league within the next 18-24 months. You read it here first. He's a left-footed Gerard Piqué. Really cool on the ball.

vivaashleyyoung
Clark probably will turn out to be a good centre back yes. He is very good on the ball as people are making out but being a CH is all about putting your body on the line, winning headers and last ditch tackles. Whilst Clark may be cool in possession and more of a footballer than our other centre halves, I still think he needs to learn the defensive side of the game more. Hopefully this will come though and with a lot of work in the Gym over the summer this lad could become a class act. Thought he was very good at Blackpool and looked so calm with possesion. Still much too weak for me, and if you can't be dominant in the air, you'll never make a decent centre half in the Prem.

Probably be Baker playing left back but would be worried with a defence consisting of Clark, Walker and Baker as lack experience
ryanvilla_1994
The Physical game that Blackburn will play will be a test for him, hopefully he does ok though
Cracker1234
I wonder if Collins will make the bench, we have no other defender if either Clark or Dunne gets injured....Bring though another reserve player maybe?
Zatman
thats a good point. other defenders with some experience are on loan like Lichaj, Beye and even Lowry. If necessary id throw Heskey into defence especially vs Blackburn where his physicality could help
Cracker1234
I guess if anything did happen to Dunne or Clark, Baker would move inside and Luke Young would drop in at left back. Still don't look great when we need to be solid at the back...3 players 21 and under.....I just hope it works out.
Rich_D
Clark and Baker played together against Blackburn in the cup. IIRC they did not put a full strength team out, however, they did not have a youthful looking team like us. Walker Dunne Clark Young If Young is fit, then above, if not, Baker will start. the_eristic
Would almost prefer Baker be in the side somehow. Of our options for the left half of the back four, he's probably the best suited to the physical and aerial challenge of Blackburn.
BOF Posted February 26, 2011 Moderator Share Posted February 26, 2011 With Cuéllar & Collins out, Lowry on loan and Walker, Dunne, Clark & Baker on the pitch, the next most senior centre back is probably untried 18 year old Derrick Williams. Along with fellow Irishman Daniel Devine, they've both come up to the reserves from last season's FA youth cup final side and Williams has already established himself in the reserve team. Shoody
Can we recall Lichaj? If Walker or Baker got an injury and Young isn't fit soon we could be **** at the back

jonno_2004
I really like Clark, with a monster next to him I think he could become everything Curtis Davies was supposed to be.
