Guest av1
I thought the reason he was looking to leave was down to not being guaranteed the number 1 spot at Stoke? Strange then to move to a club where the only certainty is being number 2 On Cech, am I the only one who thinks he's past his best? The last few times I've watched him he's not inspired confidence. Ignore my bias, but he is still very good. Judging him off any matches this past season is unfair considering he'd play one match, then sit for the next 4-5. It is hard to be thrown into a match and expect to be in form. He always had strong matches for the national team. Still think he is top 3 in the league. Fair point, maybe unfair of me to judge him on a few games last year.

penguin
He is pretty crap really, will be okay for Stoke but yeah, he's like a rich man's Stan Lazaridis. Do you like anyone Rodders?
OutByEaster? Posted July 1, 2015 Moderator Share Posted July 1, 2015 The Stoke thing is a demonstration of the new TV deals spending power. Stoke can outbid all but about half a dozen clubs in Europe. £12m for him is decent business, he's only 23 and the Premier League will suit him I think, he's a bit Rooney. VillaChris
stoke agreed a fee for shaqiri His move to Inter Milan not worked out then? That's a great move by Stoke, read they're also signing Abeymang-Badu from Udinese who'll probably replace N'zonzi, another good player.
