AngelGabriel
and Werder Bremen just drew with Hannover 96 1-1, bad tempered end to the game too.
GarethRDR
Hannover are having an exceptional season. Schmiedebach's been quite a find, Ya Konan's picked up where he left off last season and Rausch (provided he keeps on the right track) could be Germany's long-term replacement for Lahm. AngelGabriel
The postponed derby between HSV and St Pauli is on for Wednesday at 5.45 One of the most heated derbies in Germany, SANKT PAULI ftw!

AngelGabriel
For the first time since 1977 St Pauli beat Hamburg, and it was on HSV's turf, HSV 0-1 St Pauli, right up there with Villas win at Old Trafford for me.

paddy
I was meant to be at Freiburg v Wolfsburg last night but was too ill to make it unfortunately. But then Steve McLaren was suppposed to be there too I'm sure he'd argue.
GarethRDR
Get in! We might not be out of it just yet. Marco Reus' finish on that first 'Gladbach goal, **** me if Neuer had gotten behind the ball it would've taken him into the net with it.

NurembergVillan Posted February 21, 2011 Moderator Share Posted February 21, 2011 FCN are having a barnstorming season too. Something else to love about the Bundesliga these days is that league placings season on season can vary so dramatically, as opposed to the Premier League where you're allocated a 6-team slot to finish within unless you have a stinker. GarethRDR
If you can get Schieber and Ekici in permanently you'll be laughing. If not, at least Gündogan's looking like he's gonna be special.
GarethRDR
Demba Ba's been firing parting shots at Hoffenheim, accusing them of "ruining his reputation in the Bundesliga". Contender for bargain of January, if not the season perhaps? German papers reckon Marco Reus will be off for around £10m to one of Man Utd, Hamburg or Dortmund if/when 'Gladbach go down with *drum roll* Patrick Ebert coming in as the underwhelming replacement. At least we won't get screwed on the fee like we did with that cock-jockey Marin though.

I wonder if he'd go back...

GarethRDR
That's the word that's been doing the rounds for the last few years. It would make sense to plump for him now, Schalke are having (by their standards) a shocking season.

GarethRDR
6 pointer, especially if Freiburg do the business today*. We look like we're slowly turning the proverbial corner, shame useless bloody Schalke couldn't do us a favour against Stuttgart yesterday though. If we're going to survive it's gotta be on points, nobody else apart from Werder has anywhere near as pathetic a goal difference as us. Then after Bremen, there's the small matter of a crunch game against a certain red team. It would totally make up for the entirety of the football season (Villa's torrid time included) if through some miraculous chain of events 'Gladbach stay up and Marko Marin is playing in the second tier next year. *and then hopefully beat you lot next week as well.
