For Carew's wages he really is a lazy prick. Or perhaps its because our CM pairing can't get a foot in therefore Sidwell can't get forward to support the forwards as he was against Bolton, as he's having to do Stan's dirty work- where he is ineffective. Big Ron just got it spot on- Milner should play a bit narrower and match burnley in midfield You are blaming his serious inconsistency on the midfield? NRC will not make a difference today, we have no link between the midfield and strikers so we keep by-passing our midfield by hoofing it towards Carew who is being a lazy turd and Gabby who isn't getting an ounce of service from the widemen...who i haven't seen touch the ball. Gabby shows signs of life and Ashley Young is trying to get involved, but Milner is having a stinker and Carew is a complete passenger. We need to get a grip on the game, for me Carew needs to be off at half time for a midfielder to give us a bit more control. We need to link our midfield to Gabby, to do that we need to add another midfielder, because these two can barely cope with what they're being asked to do already. Dire half of football from us. The fact that sidwell can't get forward defeats the object of Carew being a powerful link man. Dodgy team selections arent helping. Sidwell needs to be dumped and fast, so far from being good enough its scary. Petrov would work brill in a 4-5-1, infact why are we playing 442 when our away form has been dire, and Burnleys home form is so good? God its frustrating.
