Shillzz
Quite fond of Nick Grimshaw, so i'm happy with that. Can be quite sarcastic and regularly criticises the songs that he's forced to play, which always makes me smile.
wiggyrichard
Stopped listening to Moyles years ago, the bloke is a tit of the highest order.
Stevo985 Posted July 11, 2012 Author VT Supporter Share Posted July 11, 2012 He is a tit, but I still liked the breakfast show. But it's gotten very stale recently. Used to download the podcast as well as it used to be hilarious. but now it's just basically the interviews they do every week and that's it, and they're the least funny bits of the show usually (although their interview with Noel Gallagher from a couple of years back is seriously incredible.) mjmooney Posted July 11, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted July 11, 2012 This really belongs in the "Things you've often wondered" thread, but... Moving on from plurals, let's play "Missing Opposites": Why can you eat antpasti, but not propasti? (Don't answer, I know, I know) How can you demolish a building when it has never been molished? How can you be gormless, but not gormful? Why is there upholstery but no downholstery? Why a wardrobe, and not a peacedrobe? I can answer the last one "Ward" is an old word for protecting or guarding and "robe" is an old word for clothes. Hence "Wardrobe" is the place your clothes are protected (though not from moths in my case ) Erm.... I know.

legov
I've lost my interest in football again, sports having been supplanted by film (thanks to TDKR). No doubt it will return just in time for the start of the season.
Xela
No more Moyles on the Radio 1 breakfast show. Some people will be very happy! Nick Grimshaw to replace him. I think I'm ok with that. Grimmy can be a bit annoying but he is pretty funny, imo. Hoping he can poach Becky from Scott Mills' show as a sidekick. Does anyone care? Just me? Moyles was good when he started but the last 5-6 years he's been a massive tool. Chris Evans did the R1 Breakfast Show so much better in the mid 90's. Nowadays as I have hit my 30's, I prefer R2. I occasionally put R1 on and realise I am so out of touch I quickly put R2 back on and the familiar voices of Wright, Evans and Mayo.

PompeyVillan
My big toe. So, I had a bit of an ingrowing toenail and decided, in my wisdom, to hack at it with a pair of scissors. All I managed to achieve is to infect it and make it swollen and really painful. I have soaked it in salt water and put savlon on it but the pain is terrible. Do I need to see the doctor for this, Im walking funny and struggling with the pain of it? I dont want antibiotics because its my brothers stag this weekend and wedding next week. Chindie Posted July 12, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted July 12, 2012 Went out for a curry last night with the mates, really enjoyed the curry had never been to the place before but really liked it, had a couple of drinks afterwards all good fun, got home, went to bed full and satisfied... ...woke up at 1.30am feeling like my stomach was trying to turn itself inside out and devour my own intestines, felt ropey ever since and now feel a little apprehensive about going out for a mates going away drinks. Goddamnit.

Stevo985 Posted July 12, 2012 Author VT Supporter Share Posted July 12, 2012 That was my first impression of Grimmy as well, but I've caught part of his show a few times and it's actually pretty good. I've grown to like him.
