I assume that means sequel. Either way, the main characters have different names to the ones in the first film. In other news, I'm going to see Swiss-Army Man next week. theboyangel Posted October 2, 2016 Share Posted October 2, 2016 Talking of pointless remakes, I watched the rebooted point break last night (I am a sucker for punishment) What an unholy bag of monkey dung! The only saving grace was the scenery, with the film coming across as a 'billabong' extreme sports film with a poorly scripted and acted heist story shoehorned in between stunts. The villains, weren't even villains! Just a bunch of hipsters with no substance. As for new johnny Utah, the director actually found an actor that out-woodened keanu reeves! The original is undoubtedly flawed but is still a great movie. Not necessarily because it's the greatest movie (though it is a favourite) but because it just belonged in that time period; the 80s were over and the last remnants of the great action movies of the previous decade were drawing to a close before things lost that particular charm and got a little more serious. I genuinely don't believe that can ever be recreated, especially nowadays, so don't even bother to try. I'm not the biggest fan of the band these days, but I'd certainly watch it.
