briggaman
Drive is **** awesome. Oh yes. Still waiting for my Blu-Ray copy to arrive. Best film of 2011 in my opinion.
Stevo985 Posted January 31, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted January 31, 2012 I'm dying to see Drive. 2 of my mates said it was the worst film they've ever seen. I don't believe them. They're the guys who got me to watch "Elite Killers" because it was "amazing", it was awful.

Pelle
I'm dying to see Drive. 2 of my mates said it was the worst film they've ever seen. I don't believe them. They're the guys who got me to watch "Elite Killers" because it was "amazing", it was awful. Found that one the other day and considered buying it as it starred quite some good actors like Clive Owen and de Niro. Called my mate and he said it was so so, not worth to buy. I didn't. Instead I got Mystic River. Thought it was really good. Penn is quite good in it, isn't he?

Chindie Posted January 31, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted January 31, 2012 Had my Drive Steelbook come Friday (along with Tinker Tailor steely too). Gorgeous, and an utterly superb film.
Houlston
Ruined by the fact he walks around in a blood soaked jacket which no one seems to comment on and somehow draws no attention to himself.

Designer1 Posted February 1, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted February 1, 2012 Just watched The Descendants. Very enjoyable (if that's the right word - it's not exactly a feel good movie).

Pelle
Instead I got Mystic River. Thought it was really good. Penn is quite good in it, isn't he? Well yeah... Very, very good movie with a top notch ensemble cast. And he really deserved that one. As did Tim Robbins. And yes, a great ensemble. Started to watch The Firm yesterday. Haven't seen that one. Got tired so I didn't finish it. Will tonight or tomorrow. Has started well. Also with quite some good actors. And a younger Tobin Bell too. theboyangel
Another corker on BBC2 this Saturday night and worth a look! The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (starring Tommy Lee Jones). and for a little light relief BBC3, Wednesday night - I Love You, Man (starring Paul Rudd)
JamesWithe
Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy I hate trailers which Jazz films up to be more exciting when they are actually slow ones
Chindie Posted February 2, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted February 2, 2012 The Grey is bloody good, but bleak as ****. Trailer is fairly misleading - it's not an action film at all, which I knew but some people in the screening seemed disappointed.

juanpabloangel18
Will definitely check out the firm soon. Watched Rise (Planet of the apes) yesterday. Normally I'm quite cynical about popcorn flicks but I genuinely thought it was awesome.
