Can we move on from Digne as the benchmark for high wages now? Digne's £150k a week is a disgrace and he should be sold despite being a valuable player and playing really well Lenglet's £150k a week is great business and a coup, even though he is back-up and might not play 1

Xela
The above post is in jest of course, and Lenglet is a good signing for backup! Would like to see another attacking option come in...
Talldarkandransome
I don’t remember much about this fella from Spuds, but if he comes then I'm sure Unai will get the best out of him
Keyblade
If we're not paying a loan fee, then it evens itself out. Also it's guaranteed to only be for a season. Don't see the fuss.

Cue some better informed VTer telling me why technically it isn't a paradox. Well screw you, whoever you are, pal

mikeyjavfc Posted August 30, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted August 30, 2023 Do not remember a single thing this lad did for Tottenham last year. Not necessarily a bad thing for a centre back but he did not stand out at all, either in a good or bad way. Be interesting to see how he fits in. I have no idea why it would be very silly. Barca in a financial mess, we alleviate 75% of a players wages for them for a season. Costs us about £7-8m to have a good defender for a season as cover for Mings. Everyone wins.

Good work all round here There only way we get an insurance payout for Mings is if he can't play again and has to retire.
