HalfTimePost Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) This follows on from him being linked to Man U in February and apparently linked to Tottenham. He's cost us close to £1m so we must be been keen to get him in. That's roughly what we paid for Louie Barry and was seen as a big investment at the time in a kid (which it is). We agreed the fee 2 months ago, so has taken a while to announce (as mentioned by Jamal himself "finally"). Imagine there was a red tape around when he could sign which is the delay. Chine Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 In December last year it was nailed on that Jamal was joining Chelsea , since then Chelsea’s Academy has hit a few potholes ( thankfully ). AVFC never gave up on the signing of this lad , really really top player and held in high regard in all the cat 1 elite Academies , they are all envious of our attraction / facilities for the foundation and youth development . We really are on the up …UTV 2

It’s in place to find that one special player for our first team and fund other transfers. It’s a business model .
useless Posted August 26, 2023 Author Posted August 26, 2023 Not sure why it took them this long, but he's now been comfirmed by the club Academy Manager Mark Harrison said: Jamaldeen is a good ball manager who can be effective in and around both penalty boxes. We are delighted Jamal has joined us as there was a lot of competition for his signature. We look forward to working with Jamal and supporting him to fulfil his potential. OS 2
