Actually… they can’t… not this season…

No matter how “obsessed” they may be 😂

Can only either continue here or return to his original club this window… this season.

Trashy Italian media

Zaniolo can register with a maximum of 3 clubs in one season. If we cancel the loan and he goes back to Galatasaray then I'm not sure if that counts as the third or not, as he was previously registered with them this season. If it doesn't count then he would be free to join Fiorentina.

He could join then but I don't think he could play for them as he has played competitive fixtures for Gala and us this season.  My understanding is that a player can be registered for 3 teams but can't play for more than 2.

Hoping the Duran injury (out for a few weeks) and/or noise allows Nico to step up and shine… maybe he gets the kind of opportunity I have been banging on about…

is he ready?

Unai, Bouba and Nicolo have a serious amount of Stoney pieces between them.

If true, plenty of time to assess and make a decision afterwards… hopefully gets more of a look in and improves during second half of the season…

At no point what-so-ever was there any information about the clauses that triggered the mandatory buy. So just shit from the usual twitter shit

Hmm… that tweet lacks any form of context… it’s a snippet from an interview and related to the “betting scandal”…

https://www.yardbarker.com/soccer/articles/zaniolo_opens_up_on_his_involvement_in_betting_scandal/s1_17290_39866021

Quote

“I feel better, but that was already the case after the meeting with the prosecutor, who attested that was I was saying was true. Even if it went well, I can’t say anything about the inquiry. It’s important for me that it’s over now. It’s bad to be dragged into something like that without having done anything serious. Seeing the police in Coverciano was a nightmare. I wasn’t scared because I knew what I did, or rather didn’t.”

So this actually what he said:

Quote

“I was using an online casino. I still made a mistake, but I didn’t know it was an illegal site. The life of a footballer has two sides. I’m aware we’re wealthy and can afford things most people can’t, but we’re often forced to be alone. Many people approach us only because we’re famous. We’re always in the spotlight. Everybody knows it when we make something silly, so we prefer just staying at home, and you can stumble into something like that.”

Duran’s temporary unavailability, whether it’s because of injury or something else, could be kind of a “blessing in disguise” for Nicolo and a chance to really impress in a preferred and more suitable position for him… I see him as the better option anyway…

he needs to be given the opportunity, first of all, but then he needs to grasp it and make the most of if it now…

I would thoroughly enjoy it if he does… time to shine…

Totally agree - I believe there is a good player in there, just waiting to burst out.

I would be happy to see him in a starting role tonight

Maybe! Two incredible passes and looked good.

Yeah - the body language was very positive when he was coming on, like he's settled down now and feeling more comfortable.

It's the perfect time for him to come into form.

I start him over Moussa on the right/ss to see how he gets on, Moussa can coke on later and work himself back no not form.

He looked really good on the right in his short cameo.

Then again we've also got Leon.

All this stick Rogers is getting before even signing...

There needs to be more expectation placed on Zaniolo for second half of the season.

He had an o.k start, then got caught up in the betting allegations and since then he's been a bit of a disappointment. Just one prem goal is nowhere near enough for the minutes he's been on the pitch so I'm expecting far more from him for the run in, starting on Tuesday.

We're not talking about some 19 year old kid unproven at the top level.
